Unequal development is not human development.Longevity can also be distorted as the life expectancy of a person does not consider how healthy the life was led. I.e. A person aged 90 years old but has suffered serious illness in the last 30 years of their life would have a higher HDI value compared to a 70 year old who has led a very healthy life.
