What did you think of this issue? Do you havea question about an article or have an idea for anew feature youd like to see? In the UnitedStates and Canada, write to: Letters, DRAGONMagazine, P.O. Box 111, Lake Geneva WI 53147,U.S.A. In Europe, write to: Letters, DRAGONMagazine, TSR Ltd., 120 Church End, CherryHinton, Cambridge CB1 3LB, United Kingdom.

The following are short excerpts from lettersthat were actually received by the editors of

DRAGON Magazine. Except for minor editing, they appear as they were written.

    Dear Dragon,

Why isnt there a table or something forfalling in love? I mean, if you look through theMonster Manuals, you find some rather cutebeasties such as the dryad, sprite, alu demon,Glasya, and nereids. But, of course, theres thosegirls in the group who have 18 comeliness. Butmy DM just doesnt look like the kind of guywho would put something like that in ourgroup. You see, theres this girl elf in our groupwho really makes me weak in the knees. Oh,well, just send me a table if there is one, thoughI seriously doubt it.

P.S. If there is a table, could you rig it so thatfemale elves fall in love with 9th-level assassins?

This paper was sent to you for good luck. Theoriginal is in New England. The luck has been

sent to you. You will receive good luck withinfour days of receiving this letter, provided inturn you send it on. This is no joke. You willreceive good luck in the mail. An R.A.F. officerreceived $470,000.00. Joe Elliot received$40,000.00 and lost it because he broke thec h a i n .

I am sending you a copy of my 215th-levelmagic-user/fighter, Sharmal. Will you send me aremodified copy of him telling me what is legaland illegal about the character?

One of my PCs fell in love with an NPC who isa silver dragon. He accepts her for what she is.They have been married for some time now andwant to know if it is possible to have a child.

Have you ever taken a shower with a personwho has been mauled by a tiger? I have.

My friend and I have an idea for a submissionto your magazine concerning cross-breeding ofraces (e.g., half-troll, half-umber hulk, etc.) andwe would sure like a copy of your writersguidelines

I have a problem. The only campaign in myarea cheats like hell. They make up stupid rules(such as sex drive), and they dont use most ofthe real rules (such as THAC0, saving throws, and experience points). Their characters get tothe 40th level in one week. The DM says ability

scores of STR 25, DEX 23, CON 18, INT 23, WIS18, CHAR 16 are weak. It drives me crazy. Sincetheres no other campaigns in my area, whatshould I do?

. . . Please make twenty copies of this letterand see what happens in four days. The chaincomes from South Venezuela and was writtenby a missionary from South America. Since thecopy must make a tour of the world, you mustmake twenty copies and send them to yourfriends and associates. After a few days, youwill get a surprise. . . .

My characters name is Brogg. He is a 475th-level fighter with 2,078 hp. Brogg is immune toeverything except a +3 club. And I would likeyou to send me some new monsters that youthink could defeat him! He has killed almost all

of the arch-devils, dragons, etc. He has killedeverything in the Monster Manual I and II, andthe FIEND FOLIO tome.

My question is, what characteristics do I getwith dwarf/human offspring? (Dwarven femalesare in short supply.) What are the differencesbetween half-brother PCs with the same half-elffather but with a human mother and an elfmother? What do I do if my crazy chaoticdwarven baron succeeds in his siege of theelven dowager viscountesss castle? My worst-case scenario is a character whose grandparentsinclude a half-elf, a stout halfling, a half-orc, anda dwarf. Any help on these genetic problemswould be appreciated.

Is it possible for you to send me a completelist of the prices of slaves you can buy?

A friend of mine wrote to you and asked youif he could have a half-cat character (like inThundercats). And I was wondering if you saidthat he could have them in the DUNGEONS &DRAGONS role-playing game? I was also won-dering if he could also use all the weapons fromThundercatse.g., +5 claw shield or a sword ofomens? Because he said that you said he could.

If a werewolf had sex with a human woman, isthere a chance she would contract lycanthropy?

Keep getting those great cover paintings.(Larry Elmore would be welcome to tattoo myback!)

When youve got a three-spelljammer garage, keep gold dragons as pets, and rule a kingdomwhen youre not moonlighting as an assassin ofgods, its easy to forget that you started out witha broad, or maybe a long sword, and somechain mail, and a dungeon.

My house was minor damaged by Tiamat andwhen I almost killed her she alway go back tothe 9 plains of hell. This happens about 3 timesevery 6 months in D&D terms. I want to put astop to her coming and destroying my house, friends, and most importantly my hit points.

    Can you tell me how.
