Drafting II - Architectural is focused on the principles, concepts, and use of complex graphic tools utilized in the field of architecture, structural systems, and construction trades. Emphasis is placed on the application of CAD tools in the creation of floor plans, foundation plans, basic roof design, sections and details, and elevation drawings. Mathematics, science, and visual design concepts are reinforced.
Drafting – Engineering II introduces students to the use of the graphic tools necessary to communicate, analyze, and understand the ideas and concepts found in the areas of engineering, science, and mathematics. Topics include teamwork and communication skills, 3D modeling, manufacturing processes, dimensioning and conventional tolerancing, sectional views, auxiliary views, and pattern development.
Drafting III- Architectural is focused on the principles, concepts, and the use of complex graphic tools utilized in the fields of architecture, structural systems, and constructional trades. Emphasis is placed on a study of architectural styles and the application of CAD tools in the creation of site plans, foundation plans, stair details, and interior elevation drawings. Mathematical, scientific, and visual design concepts are reinforced.
Drafting III - Engineering introduces students to the use of the graphic tools necessary to communicate, analyze, and understand the ideas and concepts found in the areas of engineering, science, and mathematics. Topics include job seeking & interview skills, the engineering design process, constraint-based/parametric modeling, threads & fasteners, working drawings, basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and portfolio development.
