For our location in Shelton/CT the following position is vacant Drafter, Electro-mechanical products Essential Job Functions: Overall responsibility for generating and organizing all documentation related to product hardware design and manufacturing. Documentation to be generated includes but is not limited to drawings, schematics, diagrams, layouts, run lists, Bill-of-Material, and apply to all hardware assemblies in a system (wiring harnesses, electronic modules, cabinet and related mechanical assemblies, PCB, …) Work with project engineers on new designs and modifications of existing designs Interact with other departments as needed to ensure accurate and effecti- ve documentation prior to beginning production. Provide suggestions to assist in reducing cost of assemblies. Uses systems and procedures to ensure changes that occur on the floor are documented and incorporated in future production. Position Summary: This is a full-time, permanent position requiring strong organizational skills including short and long term planning and scheduling. The Drafter holds overall responsibility for generating and organizing product drawings, layouts, schematics, diagrams and Bills of Materials, as well as keeping all documen- tation related to any given product organized. Reports directly to the Enginee- ring Manager and will work in coordination with Product Engineers, Purcha- sing and Manufacturing departments to provide efficient and timely delivery of product. Responsibilities: Sheet metal design includes modification to existing cabinet designs and design of new cabinets Assembly drawings as needed for production. The assembly drawings show balloon call- outs to match the BOM item numbers which appear in the MRP system. Module modifications and design along with assembly drawings to be used by production Schematics supplied by a project engineer drawn using AutoCAD Harness drawings in AutoCAD created from the module layout drawing and schematic. Harness drawings made utilizing a prototype harness. Harness drawings require BOMs and run lists. System and module BOMs to be put into the MRP system. The designer is expected to select common components such as screws, bolts, buss bars etc. The power components and PCB’s will be selected by the pro- ject engineer. Work with vendors on any drawing issues. Essential Job Requirements: EDUCATION: AS / BS in Engineering, or similar combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in Electrical/Mechanical drafting is necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS:• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Strong background in mechanical design.

• Understanding of electrical/electronic manufacturing.

• Profi ciency in AutoCAD and Inventor.

REQUIREMENTS:• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company

sponsorship
