Beatrice Prior (Tris)

Poor self- esteem - she can be a straight up wrong a lot of the time. Tris is the kind of girl who notices when there's a conspiracy to use her current faction to kill off her former faction, but she doesn't notice when a guy likes her.

Sensitive - When Tris rejects Al, she feels bad for him: "I wish I could tell him not to take it personally" (16.24). See, Tris feels bad and wishes she could make things better for Al. She continues to try to be friends and make things better between them—because she's a sensitive girl who feels bad when other people are in pain.

Tobias Eaton (Four)

Poor & Useless - Tris competes to stay in Dauntless and succeeds not entirely because of him. Tris mostly seems to do well in the rankings because she's Divergent—that's where her true power lies.

Trustworthy - Four is very helpful here since he keeps her Divergent secret to himself when he's giving her the fear test http://www.shmoop.com/divergent/tobias-four-eaton.html

Theme

The inequality between rich and poor

In Panem, wealth is heavily concentrated in the hands of the rich, particularly those people living in the Capitol and certain of the districts, and the result is a huge disparity between their lives and the lives of the poor.

Suffering as entertainment

The Hunger Games present the tributes’ suffering as mass entertainment, and the more the tributes suffer, ideally in battle with one another, the more entertaining the Games become. The main draw of the Games for viewers is its voyeurism, in this case watching the tributes, who are of course children, fighting and dying.

Secrets and Lies

The most notable secret Tris keeps is her Divergence; because of the way the Divergent are being persecuted in her society, it would be disastrous to reveal to the world the results of her aptitude test. Only a select few people know of this secret, yet it still threatens to destroy her. Other characters are constantly keeping life-altering secrets as well: Four hides his true identity, Tris's mother lies about her birth faction

Identity & Choices

Tris as a Divergent, her choice of faction defines her more than anything else does. Though her aptitude test is inconclusive - she could be a match to Abnegation, Erudite, or Dauntless - she chooses Dauntless because she feels it will allow her to discover her true self.

Conclusion : Some similarity of both story

SCI- Fiction movie

”Both books had the setting of a dystopia. A dystopia is the opposite of a utopia. A utopia is an ideal society which doesn’t exist. In “Divergent”, the protagonist, who is a heroin, is Tris and in “The Hunger Games”, it’s Katniss. Both Katniss and Tris have the personality of a strong brave teenage girl that would sacrifice their lives to protect what they love. The dystopias in both stories were destroyed in the end causing an uproar lead by the protagonists.” EXAMPLE
