In 2014, he received the Lloyd’s ListShipping Award for his leadership andcontribution to the POSEIDON-MEDproject/LNG bunkering. In 2014, Dr.Theodore has introduced to the EUCommittee the first Cross European Borderproject and the first large-scale LNGBunkering project ‘’POSEIDON MED’’. Sixmonths later the project has been approvedand granted by EU.

The project is the LNG bunkering initiativefrom fellow EU countries in the EasternMediterranean and Adriatic Sea.

POSEIDON MED’s ultimate objective is to prepare in detail a global solution ofinfrastructure development in the Mediterranean area so that LNG can be embracedas the marine fuel of the future making thus shipping more efficient and sustainable.POSEIDON MED aims to introduce LNG as the main fuel for the shipping industryand develop a sufficient infrastructure network of bunkering value chain. natural gas (NG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), under both short
