Exercise For Overall Health of Elderly
Dr. Pankaj Naram, an internationally sought-after master healer and recognized authority in pulse reading and marma shakti,
highlights information about elder exercise for informational and educational purposes.
Older people need to exercise in three different ways:
• Many elderly people do not get enough exercise. The reasons vary, according to a study that examined why
and how older people maintain their physical
health. • Not only do they need to
include aerobic components in their
workouts, but should do flexibility exercises and
strength training as well.
Stretching:
• Stretching helps to increase flexibility, something that tends to decrease naturally with age but which can be bolstered by
regular stretching.
Increasing muscle mass:
• Increasing muscle mass is a key way for people to make their bodies more resistant
to accidents that lead to broken bones. Stronger leg muscles, for example, can help older folks maintain
their balance, thus preventing falls.
• General body strength is an efficient way to
protect against all sorts of common injuries.
Aerobic exercise:
• Aerobic exercise for older individuals can
consist of something as simple as regular walking. Aerobic
exercise strengthens the heart muscle and cardiovascular system
in general. Many elderly people,
especially those in care facilities, do not get enough exercise.

• "In my lineage, which goes back more than 2,500 years,
understanding the balance (or imbalance) of pitta, kapha, and vata in the body help people to know what types of food, herbal supplements, and even exercise
can help them maintain or regain vibrant health, unlimited
energy, and peace of mind, even in very old age."
