Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida is in its tenth year of establishment. This college from the day of its inception continues in its growth and recognition.

The National Round of The Louis M. Brown and Forrest S. Mosten
International Client Consultation Competition, 2013 was held at
Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida on 8th, 9th and 10th Feb, 2013.

Lloyd Law College organized an intra-college Quiz Competition and Extempore Competition on the occasion of International Women's Day. The idea behind this event was “Women empowerment”. Today's woman has made her presence felt in every stream.
Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi, District and Sessions Judge, Gautam Budh Nagar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi and Prof. (Dr.) Nomita Aggarwal, Director-General, Lloyd Law College were honored on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi also enlightened the students. She motivated the students to work hard and bring a change in the society. She also stressed on the point how practical exposure is must for a law student and internships in the Court can help the students in doing the same.

As part of commitment through education and other initiatives, LLOYD has always supported sports events and encouraged sporting talent. Sports week was organized on 14th March to 16th March, 2013 by sports committee in the lush green play grounds of LLC.
The day started with cheer and excitement. Mr. Manohar Thairani, President LLC inaugurated the Athletic Event sharp at 9:30 A.M by waving green flag amidst cheers. Faculty was also present to participate and motivate the students.
Students of all classes participated in different games of their choice (men and women) category like Badminton, Cricket, Basketball, Chess, Carrom etc. Students thoroughly refreshed themselves at the end of the day.

LEGAL AID CLINIC @ LLOYD
Lloyd Law College established the permanent Legal Aid Clinic on
1st December, 2012 at campus to assist the justice administration
system in its endeavor to secure the justice for all. Through this
Clinic, the College aims to redefine thinking of the Law students on
the legal services, social obligations and social responsibilities
placed on practitioners. We market to provide good quality legal
services that deliver fair access to justice for people who cannot
otherwise afford it.
The Clinic aims to afford an opportunity to every student to play an
important active role in legal empowerment of marginalised
sections of the society. Officials from the Department of Justice,
Government of India, eminent scholars like Jane Schuklose, NGOs
like JVI, judges and academicians participated in this opening
ceremony. Whole programme was conducted by legal aid student
committee members.
Gautam Budh Nagar District Court had organized Lok Adalat to
solve long pending cases and reduce arrears in courts of the district.
About 20 students of Lloyd Law College had helped the District
Court in Organising this Lok Adalat.

WORKSHOPS AT LLOYD
Ms. Le Nam Huong, country representative of the UNDP Vietnam visited
Lloyd Law College to address the students on the work of the UNDP
Vietnam with law colleges in Vietnam and also about citizen-based pilot
survey taken in 3 provinces in 2010 in Viet Nam and how the colleges over
there helped in this survey. Students interacted with Ms.Huong and
questioned her on the result of the experimental research study undertaken
over there to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the justice system
and also about what were citizen's experience and perception. Faculty and
students also questioned her on methodology and instruments adopted to
undertake this kind of survey over there. It was interactive session where
students were exposed to the region near home.
Rainmaker - learning, content, and test management company focused on
the legal ecosystem which also conceptualized the All India Bar
Examination, India's first benchmark test for the practicing law
professionals, organized workshop for the students of Lloyd Law College
on the law of contract and financial regulatory framework that operates in
India. This whole day workshop was extremely important and valuable to
students. Interactions and participation by students and their intelligent
questioning was appreciated by presenters. Presenters from the company
also showed interest in future tie ups with the college to create an
information portal.

Prof. (Dr.) M.R.K. Prasad, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi delivered
special lecture on personality development for the college students. Various
practical designs were provided to the students so as to make legal education
an interesting affair.
One day teacher training workshop was conducted under the supervision of
Dr. M.R.K. Prasad, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. Through this
workshop, both Law and non-Law faculty members were enriched with the
values of teaching, learning, classroom methods and the craft of teaching
law students.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM
Orientation program was conducted to acquaint newly admitted BA.LLB & LL.B students about the culture at the college, In this programme, Prof. Dr. D.N.
Jauhar, Vice Chancellor, Agra University, Prof. Dr. A.K. Awasthi, Former Head & Dean, Deptt. of Law, Lucknow University. Mr. M.R.K. Prasad, Associate
Prof. of the ILI, Mr. Ankit Jain, advocate at Delhi High Court visited the College.
An orientation program was conducted for B.A.LL.B, on 11th
August 2012 to acquaint the freshers with Lloyd’s educational
system, infrastructure and staff. The distinguished guests who
honoured our college at the function with their gracious presence
included Prof. Dr. D.N. Jauhar, Vice Chancellor, Agra University
(Chief Guest), Justice C.K. Chaturvedi (Guest of Honour), Prof. Dr.
M. Rama Krishna Prasad, Indian Law Institute (Guest of Honour),
Mr Ankit Jain, Advocate, Delhi High Court (Guest of Honour).
Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) D.N. Jauhar emphasized that quality is the
common denominator in everything we aspire in the legal field. The
approach was enthusiastic and realistic which made the students
meditate on the importance of discipline. He discussed about
fundamentals of laws.
The programme also included the release of a book of Prof. Nomita
Agarwal, while the guests shared with the students and faculty their
enlightened experiences about life and works.
ndThe Orientation Programme of LL.B was conducted on 22 August
2012 for the new students taking admission so that they become well
versed with the aims, ambitions and achievements of the college. It
was chaired by Ex Dean Lucknow University Faculty of Law, Prof
A.K. Avasthi.

The Annual Talent Hunt Competition like all the previous years
was organized in order to award the excellence in different skills
be it of writing, speaking, singing, art or dance. It brought fore the
qualities and capabilities of the students and also led to the
rediscovery of personalities amongst students. In this competition
students won the hearts of faculty members and management by
performing, Nukad Natak, Dance, Sur-Samrath, Essay, Painting
and many others activities.
Teacher's day was planned by the students as a mark of respect for
the faculty members. Students had very well organised the
celebration. Faculty members were made to take part in the game
show organised by students. A small play, dance, song rendition
and video also formed the part of celebration. The faculty
members were impressed by the spirit and energy of the Students.

IIT Kanpur had organised a simulation on the Modern United Nations at
its campus from 11th to 14th October 2012, wherein about 181 students
each representing one Country of the UN from all over India
participated. This event organized annually which provides students
with excellent opportunities to come together and explore the powers
and limitations of international negotiations & to lay down a normative
framework for the states. Debates, discussions were conducted,
simulating international negotiation environment. A student of Lloyd
Law College, Ms. Nishi Samrendra in her 3rd semester, participated in
this simulation representing the country Bulgaria. Her paper was
awarded cash prize for the best research paper by the simulated
committee of the General Assembly.
Ideal Institute of Management and Technology and the School of Law at
Ghaziabad had organised Intra College Debate Competition on the
‘Exemption of marital rape from the penal code’. Each college had to
send two speakers–one debating in favour of such Exemption and
another opposing such exemption. Lloyd Law College too had sent
students and their performance in this intra college debate competition
was appreciated by panelists.
Sarvjanani Durga Festival was organized at Greater Noida to celebrate
navratri puja. Members of the organising committee had organised
sports meet, drawing competitions, singing and dance competitions. A
student of Lloyd Law College Ms. Nishi Sona participated in the
singing competition and won prize for her voice quality in intra college
singing competition.
Students of cultural committee of Lloyd Law College participated in Annual Youth festival organised at Greater Noida. They were awarded certificates and

Sapna Arora, Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida was awared the Best
Female Advocate Award in the two day Shah – I – Hamdaan National Moot
Court Competition held at the University of Kashmir. Around 20 teams from
various law institutions across the country had participated in the competition
which was the first of its kind in Kashmir, organised by the Faculty of Law,
KU.
In The Ninth K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition-2013, Lloyd
Law College’s Memorial was selected among 60 memorials including
Universities from U.K., Pakistan, Srilanka and U.S.
A team of Lloyd Law College participated in 1st ITMU National Moot
Court Competition, held at ITMU, Guargoan on 15th March, 2013. Students
of Lloyd won 3rd Best Memorial Award.
On 20th October 2002 the Faculty of Law, University Delhi conducted its
10th All India Delhi (NCR) Moot Court competition at its campus. Three
students of BA.LL.B from Lloyd Law College participated in the
competition along with 30 other teams from all over India. Mr. Prakhar
Pandey from LLC was awarded the prize of Second Best Mooter of this
competition.
A team of Lloyd Law College students participated in The Sixth Surana and
Surana International Tort Law Moot Court Competition held at AKK New
Law Academy Pune. Students of Lloyd won 2nd Best Speaker Award and 4th
Best Memorial Award.
Lex Novitas 2013 was organised at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Goa
from 21st-24th Feb. 2013. The team of Lloyd Law College was the first
runner up in Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition.
In The International Client Counselling Competition, LLC qualified the
semifinal round and stood 4th in the competition. Ad Lib Moot-LLC team
qualified the semifinal and rank 4th in the competition.

With a view to encourage critical legal thinking, we use law as a tool for effective problem solving and
to train our students in various facets of legal education. LLC regularly conducts visits to
integrate the theory and practice of law.
STUDENT VISITS
Visit to the Supreme Court: Selected students from all the
semesters were taken to visit the Supreme Court of India &
Parliament of India. Students interacted with the registry officials,
library staff & lawyers present over there to understand how the
Apex Court of the country operates, its different wings and how
they function. Students were educated about the role of the highest
court of the land in the judicial system.
Students of Lloyd Law College visited the O.P. Jindal Global
University to attend an international conference on Centre for
Victomology and Psychologyical Studies.
Lloyd Law College Students attended the International Academic
Conference and Seminar on 22nd & 23rd Sept 2012. This
conference and seminar was organised by the ILI, New Delhi in
collaboration with Korean Legal Research Institute of South
Korea. It was held at Vigyan Bhawan presided by the Prime
Minister of India and the Chief Justice of India Justice S.H.
Kapadia. Through this programme, students learnt about the
emerging areas of law, its contribution to the judicial system and
responsibilities placed on the different stake holders. Visit to such
events bring students closer to present date realities of the judicial
system.

organised by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India.

Prof. (Dr.) Nomita Aggarwal has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Legal Luminary Award by the Balkan-Ji- Bari International, India’s Oldest NGO recognised by UNICEF, ECOSOC.

Placement & Internship @ Lloyd
Placements and Summer Internships are an integral part of Lloyd Law College. LLC has a well laid-out and systematic process of shaping the student’s career aspirations with corporate’s expectations.
The Placement Cell at Lloyd law College comprises of the Student Committee with 10 members from the last few years of the course. The Placement Department is represented by the Placement Managers and Faculties.
The leading companies from all sectors are invited by the Placement Department on the campus, where the eligible students are facilitated to go through the entire selection process. The entire process is governed by the student's ability and performance, as well as the requirements and norms of the Industry.
Placement Support?Maintaining regular interaction with the industry through
Seminars, Guest Lectures, Conferences, Corporate Planning and organizing On-Campus as well as off-Campus recruitment activities
?Providing assistance to the students for completing summer training projects
?Providing requisite training to the students in the area of Personality Development and Communication Skills
?Organizing Inter-Cultural exchange with other institutions and industries.
Orientation Programme was held in Lloyd Law College on 19th February 2013 at 11:30 a.m. by Ms. Eliza Rumthao and Ms. Narsis Zaki of Justice Ventures International where more than 50 students from B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. participated in this program.
After the final interview, students have been selected for the internship.
