A necessary precondition to attaining a peaceful and harmonious world is recognizing and understanding the reality and purpose of the human na- ture, endeavor, and life journey. Love transformed Molana (Rumi), a conservative theologian, into a liberated, euphoric mystic poet and teacher who fervently fell in love with the Divine Creator and the whole universe. When Rumi started to dance (Samaa, whirling) jubilantly the most beautiful and meaningful poetry poured spontaneously from his lips like water flowing from a spring. Rumi (Molana) has been the best selling poet for over a decade in the U.S. and other countries, and has been read more than Shake- speare. UNESCO dedicated 2007 as the “Year of Rumi”. At Rumi’s grand funeral procession Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Zo- rastrians, Sufis, and others cried and mourned in a manner that one would have thought that Rumi belonged to each one of them. Molana, through his higher senses in his times of jubilation and ecstasy, experienced the most astonishing visions about the mechanism and structure of the universe, its realities and mysteries, and our life journey. Around 770 years ago Rumi described phenomena such as the creation of the universe, the origin of music, force of gravity, nuclear explosion, the sun’s light, the spinning Earth and galaxies, matter and antimatter, our five higher senses and countless other scientific wonders that centuries later scientists discovered. Above all, Molana's po- etry and teachings emphasize eternal love, the miraculous everlasting force that quickens the flow of the energy of our souls and enables us to soar to the highest state of ecstasy. Rumi vividly de- scribes the human’s journey from solid to infinity, shows us how to ap- preciate our wonderful life on this Earth, and provides a road map for reaching the highest states of seren- ity and ecstasy in our turbulent and violent world. Molana’s findings and thoughts are expressed through as- toundingly beautiful poetry. Rumi’s visions, knowledge, and teachings help his readers to reach a new level of scientific and mystical understand- ing about the magnificent journey of life on Earth and beyond and the power of true love. Rumi conveys the message that love is the most magical force in the universe that can quicken the flow of the energy of one’s soul. Through love, human beings can soar to the peak of their existence and reach the highest state of ecstasy. Following those teachings makes our world a kinder, more peaceful, and better place for everyone. On this wonderful occasion of Rumi’s birthday (Sept 30, 1207), I pray to Hazrate Eshgh (the God of love) that a magical divine ray of love, wisdom, and humanity will shine through the hearts of all people and their leaders. I wish this would miraculously warm their hearts and enlighten their souls to make a genuine effort for eternal peace on Earth. I hope our hearts and souls also bloom the buds of love, compassion, and hope, which could bring about a much more peace- ful, loving, and caring era for all of earth’s inhabitants. بنام حضرت عشق and his/her state of mind and atti-tude toward himself/herself and oth-ers than any particular system. A necessary precondition to attaining a peaceful and harmonious world is recognizing and understanding the reality and purpose of the human na-ture, endeavor, and life journey.

Rumi (Molana) has been the best selling poet for over a decade in the U.S. and other countries, and

has been read more than Shake-speare. UNESCO dedicated 2007 as the “Year of Rumi”. At Rumi’s grand funeral procession Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Zo-rastrians, Sufis, and others cried and mourned in a manner that one would have thought that Rumi belonged to each one of them.

Molana, through his higher senses in his times of jubilation and ecstasy, experienced the most astonishing visions about the mechanism and structure of the universe, its realities and mysteries, and our life journey. Around 770 years ago Rumi described phenomena such as the creation of the universe, the origin of music, force of gravity, nuclear explosion, the sun’s light, the spinning Earth and galaxies, matter and antimatter, our five higher

senses and countless other scientific wonders that centuries later scientists discovered. Above all, Molana's po-etry and teachings emphasize eternal love, the miraculous everlasting force that quickens the flow of the energy of our souls and enables us to soar to the highest state of ecstasy. Rumi actually shows us how to appreci-ate the wonderful odyssey of life in our present life in time and space on this Earth and beyond. Rumi teaches us how to become an island of love, happiness, serenity, and peace in our violent, unkind and turbulent world by balancing our mind, body, and soul.

Rumi explains the relationship be-tween the human state of mind, body, and spirit and the physical and metaphysical aspects of human life and odyssey in time and space and timelessness. Rumi vividly de-scribes the human’s journey from solid to infinity, shows us how to ap-preciate our wonderful life on this Earth, and provides a road map for reaching the highest states of seren-ity and ecstasy in our turbulent and violent world. Molana’s findings and thoughts are expressed through as-

toundingly beautiful poetry. Rumi’s visions, knowledge, and teachings help his readers to reach a new level of scientific and mystical understand-ing about the magnificent journey of life on Earth and beyond and the power of true love.

I hope our hearts and souls also bloom the buds of love, compassion, and hope, which could bring about a much more peace-ful, loving, and caring era for all of earth’s inhabitants. Unfortunately, the past decade of our world was plagued with wars and violence. Many people, including innocent children, women, and men have been killed or injured. Countless others suffer from insuffi-cient food, shelter, and medicine.

On this great occasion I would like to highlight a few of Rumi’s teach-ings and insights, particularly for the younger generation who may not know him as well. I hope that all of us remember these teachings in or-der to make the above wishes come to fruition. Let me share with you a few sips of Rumi’s incredible po-tion of love and wisdom. I wish that you all reach a new level of mystical understanding about the mind-body-spirit relationship, the journey of life, and the power of true love. Rumi’s electrifying and mesmerizing poetry resonates within all who seek love, peace, and knowledge.

The holy Prophet said that God has stated, My intention for the creation has been love (mercy).I created so they would benefit from me,And infuse their hand with my honey.I didn’t create to profit, But to be generous to the creatures. For love God created the universe, Every particle benefited from God’s Sun of mercy. If it was not for the pure love,When would I (God) have given exis-tence to the universe?I erected the grand universe,So you could comprehend the gran-deur of love. The spinning of galaxies is a wave of love, Were it not for love, the world would perish.2. Love is the miraculous force that quickens the flow of the energy of our souls and allows us to soar to the highest state of ecstasy in our majes-tic journey of life. Through love, all the ills of humanity can be cured.

I was dead, I became alive. I was tears, I became laughter. The majesty of love came, And I became an everlasting majesty myself.

Even if the devil falls in love, he will win,He will become like Gabriel and his evilness will die.

Be happy, oh our well desired love, The healer of all our ills.Oh, the medicine for our pride and ar-rogance,Oh (love), you are our Plato and Ga-len.Through love, the earthly body soared to the skies,Mountains began to dance and be-came agile.

From love, bitter becomes sweet,From love, thorns become flowers,From love, vinegar becomes wine,From love, fire becomes light,From love, devil becomes angel,From love, sorrow becomes joy,From love, sickness becomes health,From love, fury becomes mercy,From love, dead becomes alive,From love, king becomes servant.

My religion is to be alive from Love, Being only physically alive, is a disgrace.

3. There is no death. Life is an ev-erlasting journey through time and space within this universe and then beyond in timelessness. For the time being, we are stationed on the beau-tiful Earth, in the Solar System of the Milky Way Galaxy, in the Local Group Cluster, in the infinite Uni-verse.

I died from solid and became plant,From plant I was transformed to ani-mal. From animal I died and became a hu-man, Then why should I be afraid of death? I never became less from death.Next I die from human, and soar to become an angel.I soar again from an angel, and become something that you can-not even imagine.

4. Whatever we do on Earth is re-corded for eternity. This current life is like a dream and when our bodies die; it is then that we feel awake. It is this awakening which will reveal the consequences of our “earthly” deeds.

Similarly, this world which is the sleeper’s dream, The sleeper thinks that this is perma-nent. Until suddenly the dawn of death arises, And he is freed from the darkness of suspicion and deception. He will laugh at his sorrows, When he sees his eternal place and home.Whatever you did in this sleep in the world, Will appear to you at the time of awakening. So you should not think, that this evil act is permissible in this dream (world),And has no consequence. The blood (shed by you) will not sleep, after your death in (the law of) retali-ation, Do not say that I will die and I will be freed. This present retaliation (in the pres-ent world) is a (temporary) deception, In comparison with the wound of that (future) retaliation, this is a play.

Whoever plants the seeds of the shrubs, Do not expect to find him/her in a rose garden.

5. Clean the mirror of your heart and soul so you can access your five high-er senses.

There are five other (spiritual) senses besides our five (bodily) senses. Those (spiritual senses) are like red (pure) gold;these (bodily) senses are like copper.

The medicine of patience will burn the veil over your eyes,It will also open your heart. When the mirror of the heart becomes clear and pure,You will see images beyond the water and soil (the Earth). You will see not only the image, but the image-maker,Not only the carpet, but the carpet layer.

6. Love, tolerance, and patience are the magical alchemy that accelerates the process of our spiritual growth. This could transform our violent and unkind world into a peaceful and har-monious one.

The animosity of people toward you in this world,If you realize, is a hidden gold trea-sure.People’s tempers are turned against you,So your face is forcefully turned toward that direction (God).Carry the burden smilingly and cheerfully,Because patience is the key to vic-tory.The prophets have suffered immense-ly from the petty ones,They have often writhed in anguish from such snakes. When you tolerate the pettiness of these petty ones,You will reach the light of the proph-ets’ traditions.

This world is a mountain and our ac-tion like sound,The echoes of (our) sounds come back to us.When you behaved badly, you should be afraid and don’t be at peace,Because it is (like) a seed and God will grow it.For a while God would cover it, so you become regretful and shameful.God would cover it many times to show mercy,Then to show justice God would re-veal it.So both personas would come into view,One encourages and the other dis-courages.When did you do wrong and when did you do evil, that you did not observe what was de-served in return? When did you send to the sky (a breath of) a good deed that was not followed by a similar thing? Many injustices that you see in oth-ers,It is your own persona in them (oh reader). From your existence have shined on them,Your hypocrisy and injustice and in-solence.You are that (evil-doer) and injuring yourself,You are weaving a web of curse on yourself that moment.

As I travel around our world, I al-ways ask my audience, readers, and whomever I meet to pray and hope for world peace and harmony among all civilizations. I try to remind them that we are all God’s children regard-less of race, color, religion, national-ity, gender, and culture. Thus, in the very name of love, I humbly ask ev-ery one of you who reads these words to please fervently pray, hope, and work to bring about everlasting love, peace, prosperity, joy, and harmony to our beautiful planet. I hope we can finally learn from our past mistakes to be kinder, more compassionate, and tolerant towards each other and our environment. Please keep in mind as Zoroastrians first stated long ago, we can only carry our “good words,” “good thoughts,” and “good deeds” with us to the higher world. May our prayers and good wishes be-come an ocean of love to permeate and soften the hearts and souls of all the world’s people to come closer together and bring about the everlast-ing world peace and harmony among all religions, races, and civilizations that we need so urgently right now. I sincerely wish that we all follow Mo-lana’s grand teachings Enshallah and

In fact, your friends are your enemies, Who distance you from the Almighty and keep you occupied. In fact, every enemy is your medi-cine,Who is your beneficial alchemy and heart healing.

7. Happiness is a state of mind and thoughts. We should be their master and not their slave.

People are all prisoners of thoughts, For this reason they are broken hearted and sorrowful.

Oh my brother, you are all thoughts,The rest are bones and flesh. If your thoughts are flowers, You are a flower garden. And if your thoughts are shrubs,You are burning wood for fire.If you are rose water, you are sprin-

kled on head and bosom,And if you are urine, you are poured out.8. Be aware of universal justice and the consequences of your actions.

Set a fire in your heart from love,Burn all (ill) thoughts and statements. God stayed and everything else left,Be happy, oh fierce love, the burner of all our ills.
