Structure and characteristics

Similar content as in other European Countries but:

Different structure Influenced by other parameters - most important:

the structure of the formal Hellenic Educational System

INFLUENCES ON THE GREEK GRAPHIC ARTS INDUSTRY :

Many graphic designers graduate from various schools

Low quality of education at many of these courses mainly offered

by private schools

Quite limited opportunities for employement

A few schools for printing - graphicarts technology

High degree of requests for printers - unexperienced people

enter the industry

Old-fashioned curricula.

Many schools offering graphic design modules -

courses.

Only a few schools offering graphic arts education

(Pre-press, Printing, Finishing).

Special needs and requirements of certain branches of

the industry such as Graphic Arts are ignored from the

educational organisations (Public and private).
