Lucid Display showing for 2012 – Showing Consumption vs. Production
The Lucid Display shows the kWh’s of Consumption and on-site Production for 2012. This demonstrates a Net Positive production for the DPR project of around 13,250 kWh. Approximately 10% over their energy needs.

Recently implemented a strategy to force upper level warm air down into main open space using big ass fans. The impact is reflected as the difference from Jan-13 to Feb-13. They should be able to do the same in Jan-14, having a significant improvement on heating demand.
The gap between predicted loads and actual loads occurs between ‘seasons’ when the passive hybrid evaporative cooling system, climate controlled windows and fans work in harmony to reduce typical system demands.

• Rehabilitation of a dilapidated 1972 building, using 93.7% of the existing buildings structure
• Day lighting provided via 82 solar tubes in roof reduces operational needs by 70%. Day lighting controls to turn lights off when adequate daylight available
• LED lighting utilized outside • 12 BIG ASS fans help circulate air & improve
occupant comfort thresholds • Shower towers passively cool incoming air
which is drawn naturally through a solar chimney generating 16 tons of effective cooling.
• Kill switch shuts down plug loads every night except refrigerator, fax and emergency lighting
• 250’ of Green screen outside creates a micro-climate for tempering outside air and shading of building spaces, reducing heat gain
• Low flow fixtures with waterless urinals • 42% reduction in water use inside. 72% water
reduction overall. • 44.5% reduction in annual energy use prior to
PV’s • EUI before PV of 28.85 kBtu/sf-yr • 79kW-DC array takes projects EUI to Zero • Covered parking helps reduce heat island • Solar thermal DHW • Within the Discovery triangle • Access to Community Resources • Employee fitness center with shower access • Bike racks for employees • Walking distance to light rail and bus transit
routes • 97% of all wood is FSC
• 32.76% recycled content • 3.35% rapidly renewable content • 12.88% regional content • 78% of waste diverted from landfills • Recycling program • Green cleaning program • Green educational program • Low emitting interior finishes throughout • Improved thermal envelope • High performance glazing where necessary • LUCID dashboard display keeps employees up
to date on energy use
