7th Precinct Location: Mt. Elliot/Jefferson Date/Time: 4/5/14 10:55 p.m.

SI GNI FI CANT EVENTS

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Saturday, April 5, 2014 officers from the 7th precinct received a police run to Mt. Elliot and Jefferson on "One over the wheel". When the officers arrived at the location, they observed a man asleep at the wheel inside a 2009 silver Pontiac. The officers observed a handgun on the passenger seat, next to the Suspect. Officers were able to unlock the doors to the vehicle (through a slightly opened window), secure the weapon, put the vehicle in park and tum it off before the Suspect woke up. When the officers woke the Suspect up, he was taken into custody and transported to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

11th Precinct Location:Van Dyke/Suzanne Date/Time: 4/5/14 8:45 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Saturday April 5, 2014, officers from the Tactical Response Unit stopped a 2004 white Pontiac Grand Am for having the music too loud. Upon approach, the officers observed the Suspect (driver) aggressively stuffing an object into the front of his pants. The officers further investigated the Suspect and recovered a handgun. The Suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

11th Precinct Location: 19100 block of Concord Date/Time: 4/5/14 8:00 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Saturday April 5, 2014 officers from the Tactical Response Unit observed a Suspect loitering in front of a location on Concord.The Suspect was holding several alcoholic beverages and turned his back to officers when he saw them. Officers observed a large heavy object hanging in the Suspect's left pocket, causing his pants to sag on one side only. Upon further investigation the officers discovered that the Suspect was armed

with a handgun. The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention

Center without incident.

9th Precinct

Location: 14100 block of Cedar Grove

Datefrime: 4/5/14 11:20 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:

On Saturday April 5, 2014, Officers from the gth precinct observed a 2008 silver Ford F-

150 driving carelessly in the area of 14100 Cedar Grove. The officers investigated 2

suspects inside the vehicle and it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen from

Warren. The Suspects were arrested and transported to the Detroit Detention Center

without incident.

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

5th Precinct

Location: 15000 block of W. Warren Date/Time: 4/6/14 9:45 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Sunday April 6, 2014, Officers from T.R.U.were patrolling eastbound on W. Warren. The officers obseived two white males standing on the sidewalk in front of the CVS pharmacy. As the officers continue to travel eastbound, officers obseived a third white male exit a silver Chevrolet Trailblazer that was parked in the parking lot of the CVS, and beginwalking westbound on the sidewalk toward the first two males clutching a large bulge in the front waistband of his jeans,under his blue hooded sweatshirt. The officers made a u-tum on W.Warren, to investigate.As officers drew closer to the three males, officers shined the spotlight and suspect look in the direction of my scout car, and immediately take unprovoked flight westbound on w.Warren toward Montrose. As the suspect ran,officers obseived suspect reach under his blue hooded sweatshirt and remove a blue steel automatic handgun. The suspect continued running westbound on W. Warren with the gun in his right hand. The officers' orders suspect to "drop the gun, drop the gun". Suspect dropped the gun near the comer of W. Warren and Montrose. The suspect was apprehended and a 9 mm blue steel automatic handgun was recovered. Suspect who was later identified as a juvenile.Suspect was detained and conveyed to the 2nd precinct for processing without incident.

12th Precinct

Location: 18000 block of Meyers Date/Time: 4/6/14 1:20 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES : On Thursday April 3, 2014, officers from the 12th precinct were dispatched 18000 block

of Meyers to meet the Loss Prevention specialist holding one for shoplifting. The

officers talked to the loss prevention specialist of the Home Depot who stated that the

suspect was seen on camera concealing items into his coat and proceeded

thru all points of purchase without paying. The suspect was detained and 6

padlocks, 4 hose connectors, 1 weed whacker trim strips, and 1 extension

wand were recovered. Suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit

Detention Center for processing.

2"d Precinct Location: 3100 block of Illinois

DatefTime: 4/6/14 2:20 p.m.

On Sunday April 6, 2014, Officers of narcotics executed a search warrant in the 3100

block of Illinois. The suspect was found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin. The

suspect gave a written statement to possession and sales of cocaine, heroin and

knowledge of firearms in the residence. Per further investigation officers recovered

sandwich bag containing (25) zip locks containing cocaine,(1) sandwich bag containing

(4) lotto folds each containing heroin,(1) sandwich bag containing (2) chunks of cocaine

and (1) chunk of heroin.The Suspects were arrested and taken to the Detroit Detention

Center for processing without incident.

SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

12th Precinct

Location:15800 block of Muirland Datefrime: 4/7/14 1:50 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Monday April 7, 2014, Officers from Narcotics raided a house in the 15800 block of Morang. Officers recovered 5 bags and 7 vials of suspected marijuana, 11 bags of suspected cocaine, 15 packs of suspected heroin and other narcotic paraphernalia. One felony arrest was made and the Suspect was conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.

9th Precinct

Location: 18900 block of Strasburg Datefrime:4/7/14 2:10 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Monday April 7, 2014,Officers from the glh precinct received a police run on a Home Invasion/Break In, in progress. When the Officers arrived, they observed the side door to the location had been kicked open. They discreetly entered the location and announced their presence and 2 Suspects came from the back room. The Suspects were apprehended and the Officers left notification for the home owner. The Suspects were arrested and transported to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

5th Precinct

Location: 14500 block of Forrer Datefrime: 4/7/14 2:50 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Monday April 7, 2014, Officers from narcotics raided a location and confiscated 22 suspected marijuana plants, 906 grams of suspected marijuana, over $500, other narcotic paraphernalia, 1 handgun, 1 shotgun and ammunition. 2 Suspects were arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.

12th Precinct

Location: 14500 block of San Juan

DatefTime: 4/7/14 3:00 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:

On Monday April 7, 2014, Officers from the 12'h precinct received a police run on an

armed robbery of 2 females that just occurred. The Officers obtained a description of

the Suspects and canvassed the area. They observed 2 Suspects matching the

description given by the Victims,entering a vacant house and the Officers followed.The

Officers were able to make entry into the vacant location and recovered the Victims'

property and arrested both Suspects responsible for the robbery. The handgunthat was

used in the crime was also recovered. The Suspects were conveyed to the Detroit

Detention Center for processing.

5th Precinct

Location: 21100 block of Schoolcraft Date!Time:4/8/14 11:00 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, Officers from the 6th Precinct received a police run to a

location for a Bailiff requesting assistance.When the Officers arrived, the Victim (a Bailiff evicting a female suspect) told officers that the female Suspect assaulted him and bit him on his arm. The Officers apprehended the wanted Suspect. The Suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.

12th Precinct

Location: Roselawn/Cambridge Date!Time: 4/8/14 11:50 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, undercover Officers from the 12th precinct responded to a call on 3 suspicious men. Officers obtained the description of the men from dispatch and observed 3 suspects matching it knocking on doors in the area. The officers observed the suspects walk around the block then go back to a location.The Suspects then kicked open the door to the location. The Officers followed the Suspects into the location and all 3 were apprehended. The Suspects were arrested and transported to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

5th Precinct

Location:9300 block of Jefferson Date!Time: 4/8/14 2:00 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, Officers from the 5th precinct were giving special attention to a known narcotics location. The Officers observed a described Suspect walking in and out of the location. Upon further investigation of the Suspect, officers confiscated 46 ziploc bags of suspected marijuana and 24 bags of suspected crack cocaine. The Suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

4th Precinct

Location: Michigan/Braden DatefTime:4/8/14 2:05 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, Officers from the 4th precinct were giving special attention to businesses on Michigan Avenue, when they observed a known, wanted Suspect loitering on the side of a restaurant. Officers arrested the Suspect for 3 felony warrants and recovered 10 packets of suspected heroine from the suspect. They also forfeited over $200. The Suspect was transported to the Detroit Detention Center for processing without incident.

sth Precinct Location: 21300 block of 6 Mile DatefTime:4/8/14 9:35 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, Officers from the 8th precinct were giving special attention to a location in the 21300 block of 6 Mile when they observed a black 2010 Jeep parked in the parking lot. There were 3 Suspects inside the vehicle. Upon investigation, the Officers observed 1 Suspect attempting to hide a bag of suspected narcotics. Officers arrested the Suspect and also confiscated 5 packets of heroine. The Suspect had 30 ziplocs of suspected crack cocaine in the bag he was attempting to hide from Officers. The Suspect was conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center without incident.

10th Precinct Location:Grand River/Joy

DatefTime: 4/8/14 9:30 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES: On Tuesday April 8, 2014, Officers from the 10th precinct were on patrol when they observed a black Mercury Marauder traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then disregarded 2 red lights and was swerving in between lanes. When the Officers stopped the vehicle, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The Driver (Suspect 1) did not have a driver's license and the Officers arrested him. Upon further investigation of the vehicle, a handgun was discovered inside the vehicle along with 2 bags of suspected marijuana. All Suspects (4 total) were arrested and conveyed to the Detroit Detention Center for processing.
