- The Dream Doctor -

Martina Kocian aka ‘the Dream Doctor’ has been specialising in dream interpretation

and analysis since 2008. After completing her Bachelor in Psychology and attending various dream workshops, Martina created ‘thedream-garden.com.au’ – a website filled with articles, dream theory and dream exercises to help oth-ers uncover and analyse the hidden meanings of their dreams.

Martina has since helped to interpret countless dreams in one on one sessions with clients in person, over the phone or via email.

Martina says: ‘I love how each dream is so unique to the dreamer. From the weird and wonderful to anxiety-driven nightmares and reoccurring dreams, each dream provides us with a hidden and valuable message to enhance and improve our daily lives. It’s amazing just how much you can discover about yourself and your life when working with dreams’.

Martina enjoys working with her clients to not only uncover the message within the dream, but to also create exercises, meditations and positive statements to improve the quality of her clients’ dreams.

She will be talking to us about prophetic and symbolic dreams.

From the Editor

From time to time it is good to be reminded of our Mission Statement and the Code of Ethical Conduct of our Society. You will find both

below.

Time flies and it will soon be time to elect our committee members. You will find forms enclosed to prepare for that, as well as a form of proxy in case you cannot attend. There are a few seats left for our next seminar, see page 25 for further information.

Until next time.. François

Mission StatementThe Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. aims to provide a forum for dows-ers to meet and exchange ideas and experiences; to support and pro-mote effective and responsible dowsing; and to provide education, training and information about dowsing and allied subjects.

Code of Ethical ConductThe Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. supports, encourages and pro-motes dowsing in a manner consistent with the highest standards of personal integrity and behaviour.

We believe that dowsing activities should be practised with modesty and discretion when dealing with others; speak your truth quietly and clearly, but feel superior to none.

Dowse for the good of all, with honesty, truthfulness and respect, especially to those who may not share your beliefs. Keep an open mind and a willingness to learn. We are all beginners.

Letter to a Budding DowserBy Keith Paull, ND

Canadian Society of Questers, Spring 2003

You ask me to explain how dowsing works and why it is that I can help someone suffering the effects of geopathic stress. Whew! What

a task you have set me!

You see, dowsing is a very per-sonal thing. The results and the way they are interpreted vary quite drastically between dowsers.

There are, for example, about two dozen amateur dowsers registered with the British So-ciety of Dowsers, who do the same kind of work as myself, and as far as I know we all use different methods yet get the same results! The only common factor seems to be the determination of the dowser to do some-thing about the problem!

Because we are dealing with such an intangible subject, approaches to it range from what I call the ‘airy-fairy fringe’ right across the spectrum to the logical let’s ‘try-and-think-it-out brigade’ in whose camp, I am firmly entrenched. All these ways of thinking about dowsing are equally valid if they make some sense to the exponent, but for my part I am fairly sure that modern quantum physics, in which matter is considered a phenom-enon of energy controlled by information fields, probably come close to explaining the mechanics of the dowsing effect.

Modern sub-atomic physics says that the universe is more like a great thought than a great machine. Their theories mean that time, mass and distance, are all an illusion and that, in turn, would suggest that thoughts

Page 5: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

themselves may be a reality! Esoteric stuff indeed, but I think it makes my point that there are no hard and fast rules in the art of dowsing and its interpretation.

Let’s consider for a moment these things I call “Black Lines”. As far as we know they do not actually exist in the physical world but they most cer-tainly have a severe effect on the health of some people, yet they can also be rendered harmless from a distance by intent!

If, for example, black lines are some form of glitch in the information field which adversely affects the health of the client, and if the dowser’s thoughts also operate in this information field, then it seems possible that he may be able to influence its behaviour. Iron and copper pegs hammered in on site, or the drawn virtual pegs on a plan merely focus in some manner the intent of the dowser to carry out this alteration.

This brings us on to the very confused subject of Leys, energy flows, negative and positive effects, underground water and its effect on health (if any), navigation using stones, harmful lines, healing lines, ghosts and all the other myriad of subjects that dowsing encounters. And when we do encounter them, how do we identify them? Take the basic energy Ley such as the Michael/Mary lines detected by Hamish Miller or, if you like, any smaller versions we encounter on every dowse. Some dowsers detect them as a wide, surging stream of power, some see them as lots of little parallel lines, sometimes but not always grouped in threes.

Other workers such as myself identify them by colour code and it is worth noticing that different dowsers use different colours for the same line, and I measure their comparative intensity by counting the number of revolutions of a pendulum. Guy Underwood (in his classic book ‘The Pattern of the Past’) saw them as various types of squiggly lines and gave them names like ‘aquastat’, ‘track line’ and such.

If any one of these definitions is correct then it follows that all the others must be wrong; and that is obviously not so. The only conclusion must

Page 6: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Page 6 Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016

be that in reality they are none of these things and what we register is simply our own way of making these effects apparent to ourselves, the response being conditioned by our own training and background.

Until the 1970s dowsing was a very tradition-bound technique and most dowsers were terribly limited by their own beliefs. One or two broke the mould, no-tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’, ‘The Power of the Pendulum’ and many others. Tom Lethbridge was an aca-demic at Cambridge, Keeper of Anglo-Saxon Antiquities but also a serious re-searching dowser. His ‘long’ pendulum isn’t favoured much now but it is another example of how one develops a technique that makes sense to oneself.

To learn the art I strongly recommend Tom Graves’ ‘Dowsers Workbook’. Like Lethbridge, Tom Graves is a no-non-sense down-to-earth dowser with an easy writing technique.

Stemming from all this, my advice would be to read as many books as you can on the subject but take NONE of them as being the definitive answer. Instead use them to build up your own theories based on these, and what you have discovered for yourself by experimental dowsing.

Finally, if you really want to explore this fas-cinating subject, why not join the British Society of Dowsers. If there is a local group join it. Meet other dowsers and above all, have a go your-self!

Practise When It Does not CountBy Jim Self

August, 2013

Two groups of Spiritual Warriors found themselves in a very real and important dilemma. They understood their personal, spiritual mis-

sions, and recognized that energy existed that could prevent them from completing their work. They asked the Creator for the tools they needed, and each warrior received the package as requested.

Each package contained three items: a sword, a shield, and body armour. The sword represented Truth and could never be broken. The shield rep-resented Knowledge of the weaknesses of the intruding energy, and Knowledge from the ancients. The body armour represented spiritual awareness and the Wisdom to wield the Truth (sword) and hold up the Knowledge (shield) in the face of a challenge.

Soon the intruding energy became evident and both groups of Spiritual Warriors felt they were ready. One group, in excitement and urgency, fi-nally opened their packages and stared with disbelief. Everything was in parts! There was a manual that said, ‘Some Assembly Required.’ They couldn’t prepare in time, and were quickly overrun and defeated by the intruders. They blamed the Creator, each other, and ‘the world’. They never learned to use their tools.

The other group had opened their packages long ago. They had put their tools together and had practised with them. They practised when it didn’t count and it was a good thing they did, for they found the sword to be almost too fast and sharp to handle properly.

The shield had so many options, they had difficulty knowing exactly how to hold it, and the body armour was very heavy! With practise, intention and focused attention, they eventually learned how to integrate and use all their tools, and they were ready.

Page 8: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Page 8 Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016

They soon realized that no single tool worked without all three being engaged. The body ar-mour was the key, for it gave them the Wisdom to manage the sword (Truth) and the shield (Knowledge).

When the intruders arrived, it took the intruders one look at this strong, well-prepared force and they quickly fled. No tears were shed on either side and the battle never occurred. The group of well-practised Spiritual Warriors cel-ebrated their easy victory!

Finding and holding your Truth, your Knowledge, and your Wisdom is now more than ever required, in order to stand strong within your circle of inner peace while you watch the changes unfold around you during the Shift.

How can you be in this shifting world, yet not be affected by it? You must first ask for the spiritual tools that will best assist you. When these tools arrive, as in the parable, you must then practise using them until they are a natural extension of who you are, as natural as using a spoon or driving your car. Practise when it doesn’t count.

The simple Energy Tools you can learn here at Mastering Alchemy will assist you to thrive and serve in today’s unfolding Shift. With these tools, you will “walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil.” You will be who you came here to be, effectively able to assist and uplift others at the right time, at the right place, in the best way possible, with-out sacrificing your own truth.

We are all being called to step forward and lead, to fulfil our original

spiritual blueprint. The drama, noise and challenges we find ourselves in today are not economic or social or even political. These are spiritual tests. They test our private, personal commitment to do whatever it takes to be the Healer, Teacher and Leader we came here to be.

What an incredible time to be alive. These are important times, times that can be joyous and uplifting or rife with struggle and suffering. The choice is yours. Many are indeed choosing to struggle and believe they are victims. Many more of us are consciously choosing to hold our con-nection to the greater, wiser, older part of ourselves, no matter what oc-curs around us.

We are choosing to create a way of life filled with Certainty, Personal Power, Respect, Amusement, Command and Graciousness.

When you choose to use your Spiritual Tools, you will be able to respond and thrive, rather than react and doubt. You will be living a way of life, full of your Self. And as you make that choice, you will return Home. The above parable is one of our favourites.

Potatoes, Eggs, and Coffee BeansAuthor unknown

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make

it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was do-ing.

After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?”

“Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied.

“Look closer,” he said, “and touch the potatoes.” She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pull-ing off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.

“Father, what does this mean?” she asked.

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity– the boiling water.

Page 11: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016 Page 11

However, each one reacted differently.

The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.

“Which are you?” he asked his daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? “

Moral:In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us.

Which one are you?

Geometry, The Ark, & The PendulumBy Hugh J. Vaughan

Reprinted from The American Dowsers newsletter.

The following brief excursion into little-known facts comes in three parts:

a bit of Math, a hint of Science, and a smidgen of dowsing. I hope you enjoy it...

There is a building here in Troy, New York (USA) that is unique in a number of ways.

Periodically, someone ‘re-discov-ers’ it and we find it featured in some article or in a TV spot. It is the Troy Savings Bank, which was founded in 1823.

The lower half of the granite structure is the business part, the main office of the bank itself. The upper part is the section that continues to thrill one generation after an-other. Officially, it is The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, but its more affectionate name is just ‘The Music Hall’.

The building was begun in July of 1871, and in February of 1875 the Hall opened its doors to the citizens and, literally, to the world. It was a gift to the city by the Board of Directors of the bank, who wanted to es-tablish a permanent home for the performing arts. Over its long history it has hosted the very best among musical artists: Paderewsky, John Mc-Cormack, Fritz Kreisler, the Cleveland Symphony.

As time went on, these artists began speaking of the astounding acousti-cal qualities of the Hall, and some of them, such as Kreisler, directed their agents to book them as often as possible in what they considered a

Page 13: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

fabulous setting for their talents. It has been studied to an extent that is amazing, but no one has yet determined precisely why the Hall can pro-duce such sound. It is now frequently used by recording artists from New York City.

Some years ago, I wrote an article about the Music Hall, and in preparing it did considerable research. I discovered that it is ranked, acoustically, number two in the world, second only to a concert hall in the Nether-lands. There were many facts available attesting to its pristine elegance and, naturally, its dimensions: 110 feet long, 69 feet wide, and 60 feet high.

While sorting through all the information, I took another look, literally, at the building. Viewing it from a hillside about a half mile away, I was intrigued with its roof.

On top of the upward curving sides of the roof, there is what appears to be a long, narrow box, decorated with ornate ironwork, reminiscent of late-nineteenth century architecture. Its practical function, if any, is not mentioned in any historical account that I could find. But that ‘box’ made an impression that remained in my subconscious until happy circum-stances made it resurface years later.

It occurred to me that the box somehow was reminiscent of artists’ renditions of the Ark of the Covenant. Curiosity is a strange thing, and sometimes when it takes hold it just won’t go away.

I found the instructions for building the Ark in Exodus 25:10-22. It was to be made of acacia wood and have the following dimensions: 21/2 cubits long, 11/2 cubits wide, 11/2 cubits high. It was to be lined with gold and plated on the outside with gold. There was also to be a similar container, built to the same specifications,

Page 14: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Page 14 Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016

which would rest on top of the Ark. The Ten Commandments were to be placed inside the Ark itself. The second (top) structure would be a ‘propi-tiatory’, that is, a centre of appeasement and reconciliation.

Curiosity wouldn’t end there. A huge question presented itself. Could there be any connection between the dimensions of the Hall and of the Ark?

The answer was an obvious ‘No’, but ... Curiosity! I decided to take a look. The use of ‘cubit’ as a meas-urement was a bit of a hurdle.

A cubit has been defined as a length ranging from 18 to 22 inches, so I picked the average: 20. The length of the Ark, then, would be 2.5 x 20, or 50 inches. Both the width and height would be 30 inches (1.5 x 20). Next, inches had to be con-verted to feet, meaning that the width and height would be 2.5 ft. (30/12) and the length 4.16 ft. (50/12). (What had been only a tantalizing ques-tion was fast becoming a theory.)

In order to project a given geometric figure, we have to find a factor that will, when applied to each side, ‘enlarge’ the figure uniformly. To find a trial factor, I used the width (and height) of the actual hall and divided by the calculated width of the Ark, that is: 69 ft. / 2.5 ft. = 27.6

If this (27.6) were the proper factor, then the calculated length of the Ark multiplied by it should yield an approximation of the actual length.

The result was: 4.16 ft. x 27.6 = 114.8 ft. Now, for the scientifically in-clined, this exercise in simple mathematics will not be satisfying. They would insist upon a perfect “fit” of the measurements. For my part, I see it as a fascinating result.

Page 15: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016 Page 15

We are dealing with a huge structure (it seats 1,256) versus a relatively small container, and trying to discern a proportionality, if any, between the two. The final results: Published measurements -Projected size of the Music Hall Ark of the Covenant- Length 110 ft. 114.8 ft., Width 69 ft. 69 ft., Height 60 ft. 69 ft.

The height is the measurement that leaves one a bit disappointed, but nowhere did I find a statement as to the exact spot at which the height had been taken. Was it at the back of the hall, or mid-way down a sloping aisle, or at the foot of the stage? So I am inclined to say the comparison is reasonable. I am deeply impressed with the implications, and I believe my feelings will be supported by the following.

Years ago, a friend who was a mathematician and physicist, made the observation that the Ark, being constructed as it was, was ‘one helluva capacitor’, that is, a device used in electronics to store energy and release it all at once. That remark was stored in my memory along with other trivia until something else occurred years later.

Another friend, Roger Brown, a master dowser who lived in South Australia, asked that I send him two copies of a map of Troy. He wanted me to locate, via map dowsing, as many energy lines as I could find in this vicinity and then indicate them on one of the maps. He requested that I seal this in an envelope.

Using the other map, he would endeavor to find the lines in the same locale, and compare our individual findings. Two weeks later he sent a message confirming that he had agreed perfectly on the six lines I had found.

Page 16: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Page 16 Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016

We were quite delighted, the whole thing being a rewarding exercise in map dowsing. But the real reward was his question: “What in heaven’s name is this place called the ‘Troy Music Hall?’ I was looking for a source of ‘positive’ energy, and when the pendulum came over this hall, it nearly flew out of my hand! I don’t know what is there, but the place is brimming with marvelous energy!”

I firmly believe that all of these findings are much more than random happenings. There is no way that anyone can prove (or disprove) that George B. Post, the architect of the Hall, had any knowledge that his creation might be remotely connected with the Ark.

However, there is a way to show, via dowsing, that his building, now well into its second century, is somehow a storage place for vibrant spiritual energies.

And, of course, all this raises a nagging question: It is rea-sonable to expect that the Ark, having two layers of metal separated by an insulator (the wood), could be a capacitor, but could there be something in the dimensions themselves that enhance the ability to store energy?

Could the Music Hall, with dimensions that mimic the Arks, be particu-larly suited to store spiritual energy. The Music Hall was given to the citizens of Troy in a display of generosity .. of love, if you will.

Could that love still be lingering there? Maybe some day we will be able to know. Hugh J. Vaughan

Creating Sacred SpaceChristan Hummel

Canadian Society of Dowsers, Winter 2003

The beating of a shaman’s drum, the labyrinth at Chartres and Feng Shui, what do they all have in common? All are attempts by differ-

ent cultures to harmonize their space with their environment. Temples throughout time from Stonehenge to the Great Pyramid attest to hu-manity’s desire to create sacred space, a world of Heaven here on Earth.

In ancient times, this knowledge of how to harmonize our living space with nature and the cosmos was passed down from the ancient Celts, Chinese, Egyptians, later the Pythagorean schools in Greece, and into the West through Europe. However where can these traditions be found alive today in our modem culture? Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art whereby one aligned with the forces of nature to create harmony in one’s environment, make little sense to most people, and seems to be in the jurisdiction of a handful of experts.

Our modern cities are testaments to a world addicted to unbridled growth at any cost. Today, electromagnetic stresses, pollution, and negative tel-luric energies plague us in a manner unprecedented in human history. In such conditions, is it possible to create sacred space in our living environ-ments today?

While times have changed, basic principles have not. Sacred sound, sa-cred geometry, prayer, ceremony - all are still effective methods of raising the vibrations of the space where we live, and for our planet as well. And while this may sound too simple for most to believe, case histories exist worldwide which surprise even those who have witnessed the results, at-testing to the timeless power of such practices and intentions.

Cities throughout the world; Frankfurt, Bilbao, Auckland, Los Angeles, just to name a few, have experienced such results as lower crime rate, re-

Page 18: Dowsers Society of NSW Inc. Newsletterdowsingaustralia.com/Newsletters/Web February 2016...tably T.C. Lethbridge who wrote such very readable books as ‘Ghost and the Divining Rod’,

Page 18 Dowsers Society of NSW – February 2016

duced drug use, pollution and a revival of natural resources. All with such simple techniques such as our ancestors practised in times past.

Can the same be done for one’s home? In short, yes. A few of the most common changes which people have experienced when harmo-nizing their space with their environment: more energy, better sleep, enhanced learning among students, improved relationships, increased financial flow, increased plant growth, better health among an-imals in the area and more.

While anecdotal stories abound, scientific research has been conducted in Europe studying the connections between environmental stresses and ADD, cancer, and numerous other diseases. In Germany, out of 5,000 cancer patients, a 93% correlation was discovered between the negative electromagnetic energy lines and their cancer. In Austria, Kathe Bachler studied 3,000 students with ADD who had negative earth energies run-ning through their homes. When negated, the ADD behaviour was re-duced in over 90% of the cases.

Our modern times have created greater problems, but have also created different solutions to the same age old quest: how to create sacred space on earth. Now is a crucial time to make our homes our temples, places where the sacred vibrations from them radiate out to heal our families and communities.

Christan Hummel is an international author, lecturer, and workshop leader. She has taught thousands around the world how to create sacred space in their homes and cities. For information about her upcoming workshops see her website at: www.earthtransitions.com

Microsoft vs ToyotaNZ Dowsers. Sept 2005

A few years ago at Computer Expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates report-edly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and

stated, “If Toyota had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.”

In response to Bill’s comments, TOYOTA issued a press release stating: “If Toyota had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:”• For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.• Every time they repainted the lines on the road, you would have to

buy a new car.• Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You

would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

• Occasionally, a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

• Apple would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.

• The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single “This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation” warning light.

• The airbag system would ask “Are you sure?” before deploying.

• Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again, because none of the controls would oper-ate in the same manner as the old car.

• You’d have to press the ‘Start’ button to turn the engine off.

Speaker for March 20th, 2016Robert Gourlay

- Restructuring Water to Hold a Permanent Negative Charge -

Robert is an environmental scientist, re-searcher, inventor and dowser. He has been commercially involved in research and de-velopment of biological and water condi-tioning technologies since 1992, including the development of mapping technologies for groundwater exploration. Robert has been operating as a groundwater dowser since 1997.

In his presentation he will outline his invention of devices to restruc-ture water to hold a permanent negative charge. All natural, pristine flowing water holds a negative charge and it is only when water is not flowing, or flowing through pipes, that the negative charge changes to a positive charge. Healthy human cells are designed to renew at -50mV, and when the cell charge falls to a positive charge, sickness and disease will occur. The consumption of negatively charged water is one strategy to sustain a high negative charge at a cellular level. His presentation will cover:• The science of structured water• Cellular charge and the link to disease• Device design and various applications for negatively charged wa-

ter• Examples of the effects of negatively charged water in food pro-

duction• Ways to sustain cellular chargeFor more information, go to www.phion.com.au (Structured Water papers)
