Downtown Dubai Celebrates Light

For 10 breathtaking days, Downtown Dubai will be transformed,

awash with a celebration of light, art and culture.

Watch transfixed as this urban space unfolds with a façade of colour,

light and art that spans the heights of Burj Khalifa, the breadth of

The Dubai Mall, the pathways of the Waterfront Promenade and

the expanse of Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Each installation

within easy walking distance of the other, making it the ‘brightest’

square kilometre on earth.

A real visual treat for the whole family, Downtown Dubai will

shimmer, shine and shift into an outdoor art gallery showcasing

the most amazing pieces of luminous art.

An awe-inspiring festival celebrating art and light, 32 masterpieces by artists from around the world will transpose all of Downtown Dubai into an enthralling spectrum, bathed in brilliant hues of colour.

GETTING THEREDUBAI METRO: Burj Khalifa Station provides excellent

connectivity to Downtown Dubai from across the city. The Metro

Link Bridge has direct access from the station to The Dubai Mall.

TAXI: With excellent road access and connectivity from

Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay area and Al Khail Road,

taxis are aplenty and a great way to get in and out of

Downtown Dubai.

CAR PARKING: Space is available throughout Downtown Dubai

in 3 underground parking lots with a capacity of 3,400 spaces

off the boulevard as well as 10,000 spots at The Dubai Mall.

GETTING AROUNDEXPLORING ON FOOT: Take the scenic pedestrian route with 32

beautiful spectacles of light to be discovered in Downtown Dubai,

all within easy strolling distance from each other.

EXPLORING BY BUS: The hop-on hop-off Boulevard Bus Tour is

another convenient way to explore Dubai Festival of Lights, with

stops at all the key installation zones.

EXPLORING BY BYKY: Pedal power is yet another way to get

around and take in the lights. ByKy cycles are available to rent

at various points around Downtown Dubai for durations of

30 minutes up to 24 hours.
