Just uploaded the updated version but it may be a while before it shows up.

To correct/clarify 2 points I caught in my previous explanations:

On the Span port dropping packets, an RSPAN would fix the issue as it would have a similar effect to configuring an additional span porthowever, the question is worded as such to indicate only 1 IPS device exists and the RSPAN would require a 2nd remote IPS device to

send the traffic to.

Im no IPS/IDS guru but other than the 3 questions and answers I listed below, everything else about this dump looks to be spot on.

The only complaint is the limits are disabled on multiple choice and on some of the drag and drops.

Ill see if I can get an updated file posted here with the corrections listed below and the limits enabled on multiple choice/drag and drops.

Noise will actually increase if you enable anti-evasive measures as all traffic will go to the IPS device.

Best way to improve performance is to reduce traffic (place IPS behind firewall), reduce processing time (disable unneeded signatures) andloadbalance between other devices (Multiple IPS devices in the path to detect different events)

Document clearly defines that Ether-channels cannot be configured as SPAN destination ports which means the the questions about aspan port experiencing packet drops has a wrong answer.

Since configuring an RSPAN wouldnt fix the issue, I suspect the 3rd answer would be to eliminate the span altogether and configure theIPS appliance to inline
