SITE PREPARATION
EARTHWORKS, SITE PREPARATION AND EXCAVATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BCA PART 3.1, 3.2 AND

WALLS REQUIRED FOR FIRE SEPARATION OF CLASS 1 BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE BCA PART 3.7.1.
FIREWALLS SHALL ACHIEVE AN FRL OF 60/60/60 AND SHALL BE CARRIED UP TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE NON-
COMBUSTIBLE ROOF COVERING. FIREWALLS SHALL NOT BE CROSSED BY TIMBER / COMBUSTIBLE ELEMENTS
EXCEPT FOR ROOF BATTENS <50MMX75MM. ANY GAP BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE FIREWALL AND THE NON-
COMBUSTIBLE ROOF COVERING SHALL BE PACKED WITH NON-COMBUSTIBLE MINERAL FIBRE.
HARD WIRED SMOKE ALARMS SHALL BE INSTALLED ON OR NEAR THE CEILINGS LOCATED BETWEEN EACH AREA
CONTAINING BEDROOMS AND THE REMAINING DWELLING AND WHERE BEDROOMS ARE SERVED BY A HALLWAY, IN
THAT HALLWAY; AND IN ANY OTHER STOREY NOT CONTAINING BEDROOMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BCA PART

HEALTH AND AMENITY
