I like this double page spread because everything from the colours to the image to the title link. This is a rock and roll double page spread, the red, white and black colour scheme supports this. The main image is striking as the model is wearing dark eye make-up and leather, this connotes a rebellious nature which is intriguing for the
audience. It also links with the title ‘Wild Child’ as the model does look pretty ‘wild’ I like the bold fonts and the amount of text used, its enough text for the reader to not
get bored!
I used this text over shape on my front cover
This double page spread is another layout and style I would emulate for my magazine, again there is a set colour theme, but most of all I like the amount of images used. There is a lot to look at and take in but because of the low colour hue, it makes it
easier to view. I like that the main image takes up the majority of the page and there is a bold tour date column on the top right which promotes the band without being big
headed. This band has a clear identity which is portrayed through the double page spread. This is something I'd like to adopt for my magazine.
This double page spread is something I want to avoid when doing my magazine, the text is hard to read and the fonts chosen stray from my genre. It is also quite all over
the place and messy. I do like the main image , I think its interesting and something like that would work in my magazine, but the overall presentation of this page is
unappealing to me. Another aspect I like is the ‘about me’ section which is something id think about putting in my magazine, its a statement and helps establish relationships
with the readers and the artists. I will not use italics in my magazine as I believe they are to formal, they would only work in a ironic case!
