Hi again, Hillary,
We interacted last year concerning one WH photo, and now I'm writing again to ask aboutadditional photos that the Historical Association may have.
I'm writing on behalf of my late boss's wife to see if I can get digital images of some oldWhite House photos. In our files, we have some contact sheets of WH photos that I assume wegot from your office (but maybe not). There are a number of photos that we'd like to getdigital images of, if possible.
I'm not sure how your files are organized, but in case it's useful to you, I will list below
the number on the top of each contact sheet, and then the number that I see underneath each
of the images we're interested in.
They are:
1,44t825 -- 19
-- 61-4v710825

La108.25 -- 1171,4:10425----1721
--7104623--=4=-17A--
Your website says that the charge for digital images differs depending on whether the image
is already available digitally so I'm not sure how much our total charge will be and will not
include my payment information at this time. Please let me know how much our fee will be,
and I will be happy to provide payment.
Many thanks again for your assistance.Susan
Original Message From: Susan BurgessSent: Monday, June 25, 2007 4:57 PMTo: [email protected]: Jimmy Carter photo
Hi Hillary,
I'm writing to inquire whether the White House Historical Association has a Newsweek
photograph that my boss, Clay T. (Tom) Whitehead, would like a copy of.

My boss believes that the photo appeared in a 1980 issue of Newsweek. The photo was takenwhen bluegrass musician, Bill Monroe, performed on the White House South Lawn in 1980, andthe picture shows President Jimmy Carter with my boss seated next to him. Incidentally, TomWhitehead was the Director of the Office of Telecommunications Policy under Nixon.
Please let me know if you need further information.
Meanwhile, thanks in advance for your help, Susan Burgess
