Abbey Glass are specialised in bespokeinsulated sealed units. We produce double,triple and even quadruple glazing.

We can address many issues using specialisedproducts in many combinations: Solar Control,Thermal gain, Noise Pollution, Fire protection,Super Low U Values which exceeds therequirements of Passivhaus, Decorative Items(Bevels, Leads, Stains, Ceramic or ScreenPrinted Glass, bespoke Sandblast Designs) andSlim Low Sight Line units for restoration workor new timber windows in Listed Buildings.

We use the whole range of glass producers sothat we can offer our customers 'options'. Weuse many types of spacer bar: Warmedgespacer by Edgetech, Steel spacer for FireRated products or Coloured Aluminium. We fillour units with heavy inert gases includingargon and krypton.

For Structural Glazing we use only the bestsilicone structural sealants.

Our units can include a pane of 'Self Clean'glass by Pilkington or an 'Easy Clean' coatingby Ritec 'Clear Shield'. The Clear shieldcoating is applied as part of our manufacturingprocess, it not only cuts the cleaning time inhalf, but it protects the unit, chemicallybonding with the glass, actually becoming partof it. Clear shield fills in the crevices seen in allflat glass under a microscope which can fillwith dirt and pollution over time causingwindows/roofs to become dull. It feels like ateflon coating is water-impervious and keepsyour unit's sparkling.

We supply Safety Laminate from 4.4mmupwards whatever requirement youhave for your project. We also offerspecialist advice on what Safety glassyour project may require.

These Laminated products can beused for Stairs, Balustrading, Flooring,Roof Glazing, Screens, Canopies orany project that requires a SafetyGlass that retains its structure andprovides containment.

We can also offer Curved/BentToughened or Toughened Laminatedglass, Fire Rated Laminates withCertification, Laminates with the wholerange of decorative effects usingsandblasting, Acid Etching, DecorativeFilms and bespoke designs.

We are a supplier of specialised Floor Glass which has Non-slip test certification.

Fire RatedGlass

The staff at Abbey Glass have theknowledge and experience to deal with allof your Fire Glass requirements. We stockmany specifications in house so ourturnaround on cut sizes is exceedinglyquick. If you require advice on whatproduct would suit you best for yourapplication please call our team for adviceand quotations. We can also keep you upto date with fire regulations regardingglazing and fitting and can provide youwith the necessary certification.

By introducing fire glass into a doubleglazed unit you can enhance the acousticrating up to as much as 46dB.

GlassPartitions

Annealed BendingAnnealed Bends are made from rawmaterial which can be comprised of

float, Patterned, K, wired and selfcleaning glass.

The curve can bemanufactured by

applying heat to theglass which softens

and adopts theshape of the pre

made mouldwhich weproduce.

Laminate BendsBy applying an interlayer between twopieces of glass we create a safetyglass. We can supply a range oflaminates including cast in place, PVBand SGP.

Coloured or patterned glass can becurved. Coloured laminates can alsobe used to produce different effects.Applications for laminate bends canbe used in shop fronts, doors,screens, partitions and canopies, aswell as Double Glazed units.

Toughened BendsToughened or tempered curved glassis produced from annealed glasswhich is heated and then cooledrapidly. This introduces stress into theglass surface which strengthens theglass. Once subject to impact orstress, toughened glass breaks intosmall blunt fragments, thus reducingrisk of injury.

Heat soak testing and heatstrengthened glasses are alsoavailable.
