WelcomeHere we are at the grand finale of the 2012 V8 Supercar season, the Sydney Telstra 500. I would like to officially welcome you to our Doric corporate suite above the Will Davison #6 FPR pit garage. As you know, Will is a Doric ambassador and a proud member of the Doric family. We will continue our association with Will for the next 2 years and we wish him all the best as he races for victory this weekend.
Our Doric Racing family has had a brilliant run in 2012 with all bar one of our sponsored teams, drivers and riders taking victories.
Doric is proud of our various associations in motorsport, with the 2012 season marking Doric’s ninth straight year delivering money can’t buy experiences for our valued clients & staff.
Our sponsorship of Ford Performance Racing (FPR) has taken our brand exposure to a new level & helped raise the professionalism & image of the Doric brand. Drivers Mark Winterbottom & Will Davison are great ambassadors and we are proud to be associated with such a professional and front running team.
We have received some fantastic coverage from the Doric logos placed on the inside of the car. 3 logos in the car, a logo on Will’s helmet & the FPR team uniforms have given us great exposure in 2012.
Our relationship with James Moffat goes back to 2009 when James was driving in the V8 development series. We have personally sponsored James with Doric logos on his helmet & race suit & he is a fabulous ambassador for the Doric business.
Our longest running ambassador is touring car legend John Bowe. JB drove for PCR in his final season on the V8 Supercar circuit in 2007 & we have supported JB in his current venture in the Touring Car Masters series driving ‘Mustang Sally’. JB is entertaining, engaging & a legend who continues to deliver value for the Doric business.
Doric Team Honda Racing had a great season, with the team coming up just short of winning the Australian Superbike Championship. #47 rider Wayne Maxwell finished 2nd just 13.5 points behind champion Josh Waters. #27 Jamie Stauffer finished 3rd in points to round out a great year for the Motologic team.
Motorsport is competitive, exciting, passionate & innovative, we at Doric stand for all those values, and as the slogan says, Doric are the Innovators.
We hope you enjoy your day at the Sydney 500 with Doric; it is a pleasure to host you in our private suite.
I look forward to speaking with you here at track and moving forward in business together.

Will Wants Another Win
7
Will Davison is keen to win this year’s Pole Award at the final V8 Supercar Championship weekend in Sydney.
Will currently has eight pole starts for the season, which is one ahead of rival Jamie Whincup. “It would be a great way to finish the season and an amazing achievement to take out this year’s Pole Award,” Will Davison said. “It’s been an up and down season for me and to finish with this award would be a great result for the team and myself.”Davison has had success on the Homebush track in the past. He has recorded two pole positions on this circuit and will be looking for the same speed this weekend. “Sydney is one of my favourite tracks and is the perfect place to finish the season. I have done pretty well here with my one lap speed so I’ll be looking to continue that this weekend.” Davison is keen to put the disappointment of the last Championship weekend at Winton behind him. He crashed out in the first race on the Victorian track, while a safety car ruined any chance he had to win in the second race. “I got hit by Shane van Gisbergen in Saturday’s race and that pushed me into the Kelly Racing car Tim Blanchard and broke my steering so that was me done.” “While on Sunday if there wasn’t a Safety Car we would have finished third or fourth I think, but the Safety Car killed us.”
Moffat in FormJames Moffat is looking to continue his good form in Sydney this weekend after recording the best result of his season at Winton Motorsport Raceway in country VictoriaMoffatfinishedtheopeningraceoftheChampionshipweekendinfifthpositionafterleadingformostofthe140kilometre race. “Looking back over the weekend, it was probably our most competitive of the year,” an excited James Moffat said. “The car was particularly good on soft tyres and we were able to race people properly.“It was a good weekend … a real shame about the electrical problem in Sunday’s race.” James is looking forward to returning to the Homebush circuit, wherehefinishedinthetoptenlastseason.“Sydney is a really interesting track to drive on. It can be quite tricky and will make for an exciting weekend.”“It’s been a long season and it’s just all starting to come together now, so I am looking to continue my momentum.”

Howeverheplanstofinishstrong, ashelookstowardsnextseason. “We gave it our all at the last Championship weekend in Winton, however in the end it wasn’t quite good enough,” Mark Winterbottom said. “I have to congratulate Jamie Whincup and with a drive like he had in Winton he deserved to win the title there.“My focus now, is to secure the runner-up position in Sydney this weekend.” Winterbottom is currently 63 points ahead of the third placed Lowndes. He recorded a race victory in Sydney last year and is hoping history will repeat itself this weekend. “Homebush is a great track and I did well here last year so hopefullyIcanfinishtheseasonwithawin, especiallywiththecar I have.”

Bowe Too Good in TCMTitle Chase
Doric driver John Bowe is this year’s Australian Touring Car Masters Champion.
Bowe finished on the podium in all three races at Sandown Motor Raceway in the final round of the season last weekend, to claim the 2012 title.
“What a weekend! I didn’t expect to win this round and I’m extremely happy to win the Touring Car Masters Championship again this year,” John Bowe said.
On his way to this year’s title, Bowe recorded the most race wins of any other driver in the event’s history, he also had more pole position starts.
“This year has been the hardest and toughest I can remember. There have been some pretty good car and driver combinations to beat, so it’s very gratifying to win this year’s Championship.”
“When you compete you should do your best to try and win. If you don’t win you’ve got to accept it.
“However it’s nice to win, it’s actually more than nice – it’s fantastic.”

Doric Racers Finish Superbikes on Season Podium
It has been a successful year for Doric riders Wayne Maxell and Jamie Stauffer in the Australian Superbike Championship.
Maxwell ended the season in second position, while teammate Stauffer finished third.
“I’m happy with the progress I have made this season and with the team as a whole, who have been working really hard,” Wayne Maxwell said.
“I have the belief to win an Australian Superbike Championship and if I can put in a few good months work I know I will be even stronger in 2013.”
Jamie Stauffer is also looking to be in contention for next year’s title after a successful end to the year.
“I was extremely happy with my finish to the season especially to have won two races at Queensland Raceway,” Jamie Stauffer said.
“It’s been an excellent finish to the season for Team Honda Racing and to get a one – two finish in the final race of the year is an excellent result as we push towards a title in 2013.”
