"3" Crash switch as NO As function type "2"
Slack-wire / pedestrian door If the switch is open circuit when an open or close command is given fault “F1.2” is displayed. If activated during the door movement the door is immediately stopped and fault “F1.2” is displayed.
Pass door switch: Entry sense The switch tested to safety category 2 acc. to EN 13849-1 is monitored by the door control. If the switch is open circuit when an open or close command is given fault “F1.2” is displayed. If activated during the door movement the door is immediately stopped and fault “F1.2” is displayed.
34
The magnetic contacts in the switch are switched by a permanent magnet. The door control assesses the switching status of the contacts independently of each other. F1.7 is displayed if there is a fault.
Crash switch as NC or NO contact The crash door switch is activated if the door is pushed out of the guides. The door is stopped and fault F4.5 is displayed. After resetting the switch contact the door can be operated only from the TS 971 push buttons in “hold-to-run” mode. FI/DU drives will operate at the crawling speed. Reset fault indication "F4.5" by pressing the TS 971 stop button for more than 3 seconds or by switching the mains voltage off and on.

X2: Safety edge system
The door control automatically detects three different safety edge systems. If no safety edge system is detected fault “F2.0” is displayed.
Important! Safety Edge Systems must comply with BS EN 12978!
1K2 resistor evaluation This safety device is intended for a pneumatic switch with NC contact in series with a resistor of 1K2, +/-5 %, 0.25 W. If activated, pressure is generated in the rubber profile which activates the pneumatic switch. The safety edge system must be tested at the end of every door close cycle. The test is initiated when the door reaches the “safety edge pre-limit” position. The safety edge switch must be activated against the floor within 2 seconds of operating the pre-limit switch. If the pneumatic switch is not activated, the test has failed and fault "F2.8" is displayed. If there is a short-circuit in the safety edge system, fault "F2.7" is displayed. Upon activation or permanent disconnection, fault "F2.6" is displayed. In all cases, closing of the door is only possible in the "hold-to-run" door operating mode.
8K2 resistor evaluation This safety device is intended for an electrical safety edge system with end of line resistor of 8k2, +/- 5 % and 0.25 W. If activated, there is a short-circuit and fault "F2.4" is displayed. If there is an open circuit, cable broken/disconnected, fault “F2.5” is displayed.
36
Optical safety edge system The functional principle is based on a thru-beam photo cell fitted into the leading edge rubber strip. The light beam is interrupted by compressing the rubber edge. Fault “F2.9” is displayed if the safety edge beam is interrupted or faulty.
Installation of the spiral cable
The spiral cable should enter the door control panel from the left or right hand side and must enter through and be firmly held in place with a cable gland. The Slack-wire / pedestrian door switch and safety edge connects to the door control with via the 2 and 3 pin plug-in connectors 2.1 to 2.5.
