The Dramatic Order Knights of Khorassan (DOKK) installed Sir Roger Siegel ofNew York as Imperial Prince today (Wednesday, July 31, 2019) at a ceremony at the 64 th

Imperial Palace Convention of the DOKK July 28 – August 1, 2019 at the Holiday InnValley View in Roanoke, Virginia. New Yorker Sir Michael Sukenick was installed asImperial Basha. At the same (53rd Imperial Santha Darbar) convention, the Nomads ofAvrudaka installed Pythian Sister Paula Nalick as First Warder.

Members of the Fraternal Order Knights of Pythias are eligible for DOKKmembership. DOKK members are known as “DOKEYS”. Through membership in theDOKK, Pythians enjoy the realm of fun and frolic.

Pythians find DOKK meetings, ceremonial, customs and plans refreshinglydifferent from “usual Lodge patterns.”

Local DOKK organizations, known as Temples, exist in communities throughoutthe United States and Canada. The DOKK is governed by a national organization knownas the Imperial Palace comprised of representatives from Temples across the UnitedStates and Canada who meet in convention every two years. DOKEY activities includeInterest-Free Educational Loans and fundraising to support charitable purposes.

The Order of Knights of Pythias is an international, non-sectarian fraternal order,established in 1864 in Washington, DC, by Justus H. Rathbone and was the first fraternalorder to be chartered by an Act of Congress. The distinguishing principles of thisfraternal organization are "FRIENDSHIP, CHARITY and BENEVOLENCE". Domainsof the Order exist in most states and provinces, and subordinate lodges are located inmany cities and towns across the United States, Canada, and recently, Europe.

Many New Yorkers attended the convention to support the installation of Sir Roger Siegel as Imperial Prince, including Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor Steven Gold, ChiefGrand Tribune Corey Bearak, Grand Chancellor Randy Silverman, Grand Vice Chancellor Harvey Rosenshein, Deputy Supreme Chancellor Erwin Grill, Past Deputy Supreme Chancellor Sir David Peltzer, Sir Michael Sukenick, Past Chief Deputy Supreme Chancellor Robert Kaufman, Sir Roger Siegel, Assistant Chief Deputy Grand Chancellor Alan Rosenfield, Supreme Treasurer Sir Alan Ast, Past Grand Chancellor Steve Kohn, Grand Secretary Roy Triguero and Past Deputy Supreme Chancellor Sir Kenneth Danker.

The New York Grand Lodge supports charities, including the PythianHumanitarian Fund, Diabetes Research Association, Pythian Camp, Dr. Morris SmollerSocial Service Fund (which supports health and elder care institutions) and the SpecialOlympics.
