Hi, I’m Percy and I got to see the sites of New York City which everyone calls the Big Apple. Come with me to see the famous places I visited.

This is the Empire State Building. I can take the elevator or take the stairs to go up to the top to see the view. I hope I don’t get a nose bleed being up so high.

Here I am on the observation deck looking down at New York City. I can see all the different boroughs from where I sit above 102 floors.

To get to my next stop, I had to take a ferry. Can you guess where I am going?

The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from France. It stands in New York Harbor and greets people who come to the United States. It is a symbol for new immigrants of freedom and democracy.

People who come to New York go to Times Square to see a Broadway play. The area is always crowded with tourists. Do you think I will be able to get in to see a play?

A fun place to visit is Madame Toussaud’s Wax Museum. Here you will see famous people in wax and you can take your picture next to them. Don’t they look real?

Hope you enjoyed and learned something about the sites in New York and you, too, may want to see them on your own.

Happy travels--Percy
