Documents Made Easy:Creating PDFs on the Art History Workstation

Versions:Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0.8EpsonScan 2.21A

1) Open Adobe Acrobat

2) On the toolbar click Create PDF and choose From Scanner…

The EpsonScan software will open

3) Click on the Preview button

4) Move the marquee around the page you want to scan

6) If necessary use the Autoexposure or Histogram tool to make your whites lighter and your grays darker

5) Make sure the Image type is 8-bit Grayscale and the Resolution is set to 300dpi

7) Click Scan

Click Next to scan another page

Click Done if you have no other pages to add to the PDF

The new PDF will then open

8) When the scan is complete a dialog box will open:

9) Chose File > Save As… and save your document
