This graph shows the age of the people we asked, as you can see we mainly asked an audience aged 16-19 (27) whilst we interviewed 3 people aged 20-25 out of college. We could have improved this question in hindsight by providing more choice in the age range for example, asking how old they were would have provided better more accurate results.

Genre of music listened to

This graph shows what genre of music the people we asked listened to, as you can see the majority of the people we asked listened to Alternative/Indie music but there were also a considerable amount of people who listened to Hip-Hop/ Rap music and also Dance music.Hours a day

This graph simply shows how much time of the day is spent listening to music on average. We asked this to try and find out how much of an impact music had on the individuals day to day life.

Favourite artists by genre

This graph shows peoples favourite music artists or bands categorized into their respective genre. An example being if someone’s favourite artist/band was the Arctic Monkeys, we’d put this in the Alt/Indie section. We did this to find out an individual’s preference.How often do you go to gigs/concerts?

We had mixed results for this, with occasionally being the highest answer with often and rarely behind that respectively. Again we wanted to find out the individual’s preference, to get an idea of their level of interest in music overall.

Which music festivals do you go to?

This graph shows what festivals people went to (if any) we asked the question to try and understand a bit more about the individuals music preference, the results were mixed with the highest percentage was that they have never attended a music festival however this could be an age or cost reason not because they didn't want to. Do you support local bands by attending gigs?

This graph shows the percentage of people who we interviewed who support local bands by attending small gigs. 70% of people we asked said yes which we found surprising as we thought the total percentage would be lower.

How do you find out about new music?

This graph shows how the individuals we asked find out or hear about new music, we asked this as we wanted to find out how the majority of people find out about new music with the majority showing that they use social media and the internet mainly.Do you use any of these sites/ programmes?

We asked this question simply to find out the individuals preference on hearing about and downloading new music.

Do you regularly listen to unsigned artistsThis graph shows how many of our questionnaire subjects support local bands in the area by attending local gigs, it was very close with 14 people saying no and 16 people saying yes, again we thought the results would lean more towards the No category.

Do you watch documentaries?We asked this question to find out if people watched documentaries at all, with the majority of the people we asked saying no (19) however it was said that if they found a documentary interesting or relevant to them they would watch/enjoy it.
