DOCUMENTARY DESCRIPTION-

BRIEF

Page 2: Documentary description brief

What will it be about?

Our documentary will aim to inform teenage drivers and their parents of the dangers that come alongside the responsibility of being a driver.

We want to get across to our audience the importance of being a careful driver especially as a teenager.

What will be the purpose of your documentary? We aim to inform parents, potential

young drivers and young drivers themselves about the dangers of being a driver.

We want to include facts and statistics that show people how many accidents in the UK are the result of young people.

What will you include? We aim to include a range of interviews with people (teenagers

and adults) that have had crashes either caused by careless driving on their part or someone else’s careless driving.

Also interviews with a police officer who has maybe witnessed crashes or been at the scene after to give their opinion on young drivers and the dangers they cause to other people.

Another interview with a head of a college to get their view on their students driving.

We will also try to include clips of crashes themselves. Facts and figures of crashes, deaths, accidents and how much

is down to young people. Hopefully also we will be able to include a clip from either a

mother or a father who have lost their son or daughter to a car accident.

Who is your target Audience As our documentary will be

predominantly about teenage drivers, we want to aim it to 16-19 year olds to warn them of the dangers of being a careless driver.

But also to parents to make sure that they take responsibility of their children and them staying safe on the roads.
