This document presents statistics and input-output measuresfor K-12 school libraries in Colorado for 2002. Data are presented by typeand size of school, i.e., high schools (six categories ranging from 2,000 andover to under 300), junior high/middle schools (five categories ranging from1,000-1,999 to under 300), elementary schools (four categories ranging from700-999 to under 300), and combined schools (four categories ranging from700-999 to under 300) . Information provided for each school library includes:school identification (district, address, city, county, zip code); respondentidentification (name, title, phone, fax, e-mail); service hours per typicalweek; library staffing per typical week; activities of paid staff percentageof hours per week; library usage per typical week; computers with access toschool library resources; Internet access for students; school librarycollection; and annual operating expenses. Data on the following benchmarksis included: staffing ratios; weekly service ratios; collection ratios;percentage of weekly library staff hours spent in leadership or collaborativeactivities; and funding ratios. State totals by school level and enrollmentrange are given for: services per typical week; staff; collections; computeraccess; and budgets. (MES)
