BYLAW 3066-19OF THE
CITY OF CAMROSEPROVINCE OF ALBERTA
A BYLAW OF THE CITY OF CAMROSE TO ESTABLISH FEES, RATES ANDCHARGESFOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE MUNICIPALITY
WHEREAS Pursuant to section 7 of the MunicipalGovernment Act, R.S.A. 2000, ChapterM—26,a Council may pass bylaws for municipal purposes respecting the following matters:
a) people, activities and things in, on or near a public place or place that is opento the public; and
b) services provided by or on behalf of the municipality.
AND Pursuant to section 8 of the MunicipalGovernment Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26,aCouncil may pass bylaws for municipal purposes respecting the following matters:
a) Provide for a system of licences, permits or approvals, including any or all ofthe following:
i) Establishing fees for licences, permits and approvals, including feesfor licenses, permits, and approvals that may be in the nature of areasonable tax for the activity authorized or for the purpose of raisingrevenue;
ii) Establishing fees for licenses, permits and approvals that are higherfor persons or businesses who do not reside or maintain a place ofbusiness in the municipality.
NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMROSE ENACTS ASFOLLOWS:
1. That this Bylaw shall be cited as the “Annual Fees and Charges Bylaw”.
2. That fees and charges be established for the services provided by the City inaccordance with Schedule “A”attached hereto.
3. That the City Manager or designate has the authority to reduce or waive theimposition of any of the fees and charges set out in Schedule “A”for reasons thatreasonably qualify as an emergency or of a humanitariannature.
4. That the City Manager or designate may at their discretion create promotionalpricing for programs or services offered by the Cityof Camrose Community ServicesDepartment.

5. That Bylaw 3066~19 shall come into force and effect on January 1, 2020 and Bylaw3021-18 and 3037-19 are hereby rescinded upon this Bylaw coming into effect.
