Reclaiming the street -Public safety improvementHarbour Esplanade gets busy during sports events and public exhibitions. Moving Tramline into center of the Harbour Esplanade to increases footpath space for both pedestrians and bicycle riders improving public safety.
Public Art WorkVisual impact with the unique sculpture the “cow on the tree” does not belong to a traditional habour view. This sculpture has became symbolic icon of the Docklands and people arrange to meet up with friends near/under this sculpture.

Public Furniture Functional use applied to public furniture, this easy to find the street number is also a public chair. It is easy to see from the Harbour Esplanade and public transport with bight yellow visual impact from a distance

Public Furniture Plenty of public seating is provided in Docklands with sophisticated designs next to waterfront exhibition centre. There are number of Tourist, student excursions and visitors visit exhibition and public events everyday. Shaded areas and seating are essential in the tourist district.
Public Furniture - Glass wind protection panel, BBQ near shaded seatingAs well as seating with shade, wind protection panels will improve comfort to public furniture. Public socialization facilities such as BBQ, picnic ground area will improve Docklands community.
Luxury Boat StationBoat lovers are able to experience various luxury boats for a reasonable price. This new networking company rents other peoples luxury boats and to the public, Boat owners get free maintenance or earn cash and boat lovers get to experience a luxury boat.
Boat Information station, Public Open dayThis station is built in the middle of public footpath for private boat owners and boat lovers. Public event to provide detailed information of advantages and disadvantages living near the boat raise awareness to the public, visitors and communities. Information should include basic specification, history, Prices, Fuel consumption, number of boats docking a day, water pollution data, boat engine noise survey.
Urban Reforestation: Temporary space set up to display urban agriculture garden.
Urban ForestationUrban Forestation is great opportunities for better and stronger community networking. It is located on the end of Burke street, where not easy to find from the distance. Positive behavior activities such as planting tree in front of the station will be effective to participate people to this location.
Urban veggie patch and compostGlowing herbs and vegetables using a compost system. This example of urban forestation provides education on urban farming to the dockland’s community as they participate to look after the garden and learn more about sustainable lifestyles through experience.
The urban reforestation took place on the far end of docklands, which is not an obvious spot for sustain-able advertising. If this project were to take place in the middle of the sea, it might attract more people. Imagine a row of small boats tight togethetogether, floating along the bay or even stretched towards the sea, each carries various kinds of plants and flowers on them. Reusing old boats, increase greenery and attracting visitors, hit 3 birds with 1 stone.

Utilizing space underneath the bridge for temporary storage on construction site.
The construction company working next to the Etihad stadium made good use of the space under the bridge as a storage space. However, when the construction is finished, the under bridge space will be empty again. Here by proposing planting greeneries under the bridge. In order to do that, the bridge surface has to be changed into either a glass platform or perforated steel to allow sunlight. The carbon dioxide (heavier than air) generates by people walking on top sinks to the bottom where the plants are, and the oxygen generate by plants would float up.
Rooftop Gardening Industrial shipping shed is used for rooftop garden to raise public awareness by beautifying the city and creating an opportunity to use void space for sustainable purposes, and for community and visitors to feel better as they pass by.

Melbourne Bike ShareThere were 5-bicycle rental stations in Docklands but most of them were not used. From the survey, 64% indicated that they would prefer to bring their own helmet for hygiene and safety reasons. For the remaining 36% who would prefer to hire a helmet, the most common reason is convenience but wouldneed to be good/clean etc’, ‘sometimes I need to use the bike not by plan, may not bring helmet with me’
