NOVEMBER CALENDAR DATES PTO MEETING Mon, Nov. 4 th 5:00pm NEWSLETTER November 2013 From the Principal's Office: Dear Parents, It was great seeing you last week during our Parade and Classroom Celebrations! Time is going really fast and now that the weather is getting colder and colder, it is important to discuss with our children the importance of dressing accordingly and to wear their coats when going out for recess and/or going home. I have observed numerous students asking Lunch Supervisors for permission to go back to their classroom to get their coats. This is not safe because teachers are not in the room at the time and we do not have enough supervisors to escort the students to the classrooms. Please talk to your children about remembering to bring their coats to the lunchroom. We are going out for recess every day unless the temperature drops below zero. Also, students come with sweatshirts or coats and shed them throughout the day, leaving them all over the school. Our Lost and Found has an overabundance of these items. Please encourage your child to show responsibility and to take a peek to see if one of the many items belongs to them. We will have the Lost and Found in the entrance foyer during conferences for parents to peruse as well. In another matter, I want to remind all parents that the first trimester ends on November 15 and Report Cards will be available on the Home Access Center (HAV) on November 22. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Monday November 25 from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, November 26 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. If you have not signed up for a conference with your child’s teacher yet, please log in to Home Access Center and click on the “PTC Wizard” button in the left-hand margin for directions. If you need assistance, please call the office at 331-228-3300 and we will gladly help you. Sincerely, 35W071 Villa Marie Rd. – St. Charles, IL 60174 – phone: 331-228-3300 1

Grahamville Rescue and Sanctuary is a licensed, non-profit, no-kill organization. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and placing them into permanent homes. We are not a shelter with visiting hours as all of our dogs live in foster homes in various locations where they are given enormous amounts of love and attention while they await their forever home. The personal attention they receive while in foster care gives us insight as to what environment they will thrive in. We fully devote ourselves to finding the absolute best forever homes for each of our dogs so that the adoption will be 100% successful.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please visit our Adopt section at www.digsk9.org to learn about our adoption process, available animals and how to apply. You may also contact us at any time for additional information. We thank you in advance for choosing to adopt!

Grahamville is a foster only organization. All of our pets are housed in foster homes at various locations. We do not have a shelter with visiting hours.  If you would like to inquire about an animal please email us directly at [email protected] or visit our contact page. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and set up an individualized visit.
