Description :Bangunan multifungsi merupakan salah satu model hunian di perkotaan untukmemenuhi kebutuhan fungsi tempat tinggal sekaligus fungsi lainnya sehubungan denganlahan yang terbatas/nilai tanah yang tinggi. Sistem penghawaan pada bangunanmultifungsi Rungkut Asri Utara tidak dirancang menggunakan ventilasi silang.karenahanya mempunyai mempunyai bukaansatu sisi, yaitu sisi depan saja. Penelitian kasus inibertujuan untuk mengkaji elemen-elemen bukaan yang ada termasuk bukaan diatas ruangtangga melalui konsep penghawaan stack effect yaitu konsep ventilasi dengan aliranvertikal.Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan melelui pendekatan studi kasuspada 4 (empat) kasus obyek sebagai sebagai sample dengan mengambil data fisik dannon fisik serta data-data yang berkaitan dengan elemen variable dari konsep penghawaanstack effect. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengukur suhu, kecepatan angina,pengamatan arah angin serta pengukuran luas dan tinggi bukaan.Hasil penelitian pada kasusu obyek diatas menunjukkan bahwa obyek yangmempunyai bukaan di bagian depan dan semping dengan bukaan atas dalam posisitertutup, tidak terjadi ventilasi vertical. Pada obyek yang mempunyai bukaan depan danbukaan samping pada lantai tiga, hanya terjadi pergantian udara/air change (kecepatananginan rata-rata dalam bangunankurang dari 0,2 m/detik). Pada obyekyang mempunyaielemen bukaan satu sisi (sisi depan) dengan kondisi bukaan atas yang terbuka (sebagaipenangkap angin),peran bukaan atas berpengaruh pada peluang gejala stack effect. Padaobyek yang bukan sisi depan menggunakan ventilasi mekanis (kipas angin), pergantianudara hanya dapat terjadi apabila bukaan atas (diatas ruang tangga) dalam posisi terbuka,arah angin dominan adalah kebawah. Hasil penelitian pada kasus dengan posisi bukaanatas terbuka, mengindikasikan terjadi ventilasi secara vertikal.ditandai dengan kecepatanudara dalam bangunan cukup signifikan yaitu antara 0.25 m/detik hingga 1.73 m/detik.Besaran dan arah kecepatan angina dalam bangunan sangat dipengaruhi olehbesaran kecepatan angin luar terhadap posisi bukaan.

The ventilation system of multifunction building in Rungkut Asri Utarais not design to use natural ventilation by cross ventilation concept because it only hassingle side opening that is only in the front side. The purpose of this research is to studythe existing opening element through natural ventilation by stack effect concept(ventilation concept by vertical air flow).

The method of this research is field research through case approach. This researchis stared by selecting 4 (four) case object as research samples as gathering data such asphysical data, non physical data and also data that are related with variable element ofstack effect ventilation concept. The data was taken by measuring the temperature, windvelocity, wind direction, and measuring the size and height of opening.The result of the observation shown that the building which had two sideopenings element (front and left/right side) with upper opening (above the staircase) wasclosed, the vertical ventilation will not occurred. The object building which had singleopening in front and side opening in third floor, the air change occurred inside thebuilding (the wind velocity was less than 0.2 m/s) But the object building which only hassingle opening in front side and the upper opening was opened, ten there is a chancewhere the stack effect phenomenon may occur. In the case where the object building useselectric fan in the front opening, the air change will only happen, when the upper opening(above the staircase) was opened and the wind direction will flow dominantly from aboveto below. In both cases, when the upper opening is opened, the result of researchindicated that vertical ventilation occurred significantly with wind velocity values around0.24 m/s to 173 m/sThe velocity values and wind direction inside the building depend on the windvelocity values and wind direction outside the building.
