Tutorial Objectives

• The IEEE Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks initiated their first Working Group Electronic Letter Ballot during the IEEE 802 November 1999 Plenary. This Conference Tutorial has been prepared to assist the Working Group as well as the potential WPAN Sponsor Ballot Pool attendees on the LB1 Results as well as provide a Summary of the P802.15.1/D0.6 vs. Bluetooth v1.0 B Differences, the source of the technology. Additionally, we will describe how the IEEE P802.15 WPAN technology complements the 802 Family.

• Due to the fast track nature of this standards-making process the January Conference Tutorial will provide the necessary baseline for the up and coming Working Group recirculation LB and Sponsor Ballot voting.
