Wi-SUN Certification Scope
• Primarily Wi-SUN develops specification of Physical Layer (PHY) and Medium Access Control (MAC) layers, Authentication and Certification and IoT procedures and provide the PHY and MAC specification as “profile”
• Wi-SUN Physical layer specifications is based on IEEE802.15.4g but the specification will be categorized based on use cases
• The MAC layer may have several different criteria depending on the application (Smart Meter, Home Automation ... ) and its standards. The MAC may be based on or not be based on 802.15.4.
