Do you have a fixed mindset

or a growth mindset?

Learn what that means for you, your life and your success

Believes that if success means you’re smart, then failure means you’re dumb.

Failure or success defines him.” Gets frustrated, ignores feedback or criticism.

Is interested in outcomes.

Believes that their qualities are carved in stone and creates an urgency to prove himself over and over.

Wastes time proving over and over how great they are, rather than getting better? Hides deficiencies instead of overcoming them?

Looks for friends or partners who will just shore up their self-esteem instead of ones who will also challenge them to grow? Seeks out the tried and true, instead of experiences that will stretch them?

Sees life as a test.

Opts for success over growth. What is he really trying to prove? That he is special, even superior.

“Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it.”

The view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life. Praise should deal, not with the child’s personality attributes, but with his efforts and achievements.

Genius is not enough; you need to get the job done. Desires to learn and does not care what the world thinks of them. Sees life as a journey.

Many of the most accomplished people of our era were considered by experts to have no future.

Jackson Pollock, Marcel Proust, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Lucille Ball, and Charles Darwin were all thought to have little potential for their chosen fields.

Mindset change is not about picking up a few pointers here

and there. It's about seeing things in a new way.

You change from a judge-and-be-judged framework

to a learn-and-help-learn framework.

With practice, training, and above all, method, you manage to increase your attention, your memory, your judgment and literally to become

more intelligent than you were before.

Becoming is better than being.

If you had to choose, which would it be?

Loads of success and validation or lots of challenge?

Don’t judge. Teach. It’s a learning process.
