Grav it upat the Gravity Adventure Festival

Come on folk’s, it’s time to GRAV it up at the Gravity Adventure Festival

from 17 to 19 August 2012. Now into its 10th year, it’s going to be bigger and

better than ever before. The festival has become a super popular event

on the Cape Adventure calendar and attracts adventure enthusiasts

from all over South Africa. It takes place in the spectacular Kogelberg

Biosphere Reserve near Kleinmond, and is just a little more than an

hour’s drive from Cape Town ... so get off the couch and get there!

Festival is the most diverse adventure

festival in South Africa! All the events

are centred around the main road bridge

on the Palmiet River, where the main

rapids and estuary are in full view, making for great viewing of all the

action.

Starting early on Friday night, and to get you into the spirit of things, the festival kicks off with the Black Diamond Night Run, which is followed by the GoPro Film Festival. Visitors are invited to come and spend a festive and relaxing evening at the bar, and watch some awesome footage of Jeb Corliss.

Saturday is a fun-filled, action day where you can choose from the Trail Series Trail Run, the Merrell Adventure Sprint Race, Second Skins Rocky Mile Swim, Naisch SUP Sprint, a Climbing Rock Rally, Downriver Croc Race and kayak sprints down the Palmiet River. Then as the sun starts to dip, come and GRAV it up with the Boulevard Blues and the hottest DJ in town. But that’s not all ...

Sunday offers more activities ranging from the Sportsmans Warehouse Mountain Bike Challenge to the croc racing finals.

Available throughout the weekend is a Spur food and cool outdoor gear stalls. And did I mention the four kiddies races, and the Spur kids zone and Ola ice cream stand to get those taste buds going? With endless fun, outdoor activities and a rocking party on Saturday night to be enjoyed, there really is something for everyone.
