    DWC CREATE D-CHANNEL

    Id:0900d8058062955dConfidential

    DWC CREATE D-CHANNELFunction Use this command to create a D-channel data of the ISDN Q.921 User Adaptation Layer

    (IUA).

    Parameters D-channel name, interface identifier: unit type, unit index, external PCM-TSL of D-channel: association name, stream;

    Syntax DWC: , : , , : , [stream];

    Parameter explana-tions

    D-channel name

    Use this parameter to specify the name of the D-channel to be created. The length of the name is 1 - 5 ASCII characters. This parameter is obligatory.

    interface identifier

    Use this parameter to identifie the physical interface at the Signaling Gateway (SG) for which the signalling messages are sent or received. This parameter must be coordi-nated between the SG and the Application Server Process (ASP). The parameter accepts values from 1 to 65535. This parameter is obligatory.

    unit type

    Use this parameter to specify the type of the controlling computer unit. This parameter is obligatory.

    unit index

    Use this parameter to specify the unit number within the unit type.

    external PCM-TSL of D-channel

    Use this parameter to specify the numbers of the external PCM circuit and the time slot to be reserved for the D-channel in the PCM-TSL form. The parameter accepts the values (0...XXXX) - (1...31) (ETSI) or (0...XXXX) - (1...24) (ANSI). The parameter is obligatory for the SG but cannot be given for the Media Gateway Controller (MGC).

    association name

    Use this parameter to specify the name of the association to be used. The length of the name is 1 -16 ASCII characters. The parameter is obligatory.

    stream

    This is a unidirectional logical channel established from one SCTP endpoint to another associated SCTP endpoint. Value range is 1-64. Omitting this parameter allows the system to dynamically allocate the D-channel to a stream. This parameter is optional.

    Examples 1. Create the D-channel PBX1 by reserving 120-16 as the external PSM-TSL, with the following command. The ISU number is 1 and the association name is TOMSS1.

    DWC:PBX1,1:ISU,1,120-16:TOMSS1;

    Additional informa-tion

    The D-channel must be created to the same signalling unit as the association.

    Execution printouts The following abbreviations are used in the execution printouts:NAME D-channel name.
