David M. Consunji was a young concrete inspector when he learned the important elements of
construction: proper planning, in-depth and thorough preparation, meticulous implementation, and precise
system framework.

The hundreds of landmark infrastructures constructed by DMCI symbolise the expertise and professionalism of the Filipino engineer. He was able to create pioneer landmarks with the use of Filipino resourcefulness and making construction cheaper but stronger in multiple

Sem-Calaca’s Skills Training conducted by DMCTTC is a CSR program spearheaded by SCPC for the
residents of Calaca and nearby towns to equip them with employable skills and produce opportunities for employment in SCPC and DMCI projects in Calaca.

To date, the program has produced a total of 146 graduates, 55 of which are carpenters, 54 are
masons , 22 are riggers and 12 are rebar graduates. 90% of these graduates are already working in the
projects of SCPC and DMCI.

A total of 232,600 liters of drinking water were donated to the victims of Typhoon Maring and the Habagat
through various government agencies, Tulong Kapatid Foundation and other private groups.

“Kaakbay” is DMCI Homes’ umbrella corporate social responsibility program. It is from the Filipino word ‘akbay’, the act of putting one’s arm over another’s shoulders; it is also a gesture of care, concern and camaraderie. It promotes fostering of good relations with the communities where DMCI Homes operates
and brings forth social activities beneficial to the Filipino society. Kaakbay propelled in 2013 with the

Kaakbay ng Kalikasan is dedicated to environmental protection and ecological aspects of sustainable development.
Kaakbay sa Kalusugan is a program relevant to health and wellbeing. Homeowners of DMCI Homes communities supported the outreach program for the poor with doctor-residents volunteering in the DMCI Homes Kaakbay medical mission in Pasig City on Aug 23, 2013.
Kaakbay sa Edukasyon is committed to uphold learning and education.
Kaakbay ng Pamayanan supports social welfare and community development.
