General Rules and Regulations :1.
The event comprises of competitions of various subjects for students of
different classes.
2. The participants must be dressed in school uniform except in competitions
requiring dress code. They should cover the School Monogram.
3.
A number will be allotted to each participant/team.
4.
Rolling Trophy will be awarded to the school scoring maximum points.
5.
Individual prizes and certificates will be awarded for each competition.
6.
The host school will not compete for the trophy but participants will be
eligible for individual prizes.
7.
The winner school will be entitled to keep the Trophy till the next contest. It
will be responsible for its maintenance and safe custody.
8.
Reporting time for participants along with the teacher escort is 8.00 am.
Registration will be over by 8.30 am. Competitions will start at 9.00 am sharp.
9. The decision of judges will be final and binding.
10. Entry form complete in all respect should reach the host school by post, email,
or fax latest by 15 July 2014.
11.
For any clarification please contact Event Coordinator.
12.
Kindly stay after the competition is over for the announcement of results and
to collect the awards and certificates.
13.
If not received, the prizes and certificates shall be collected from the school
reception within 5 days after the day of competition. The host school will not
be responsible after that for any prize/award/certificate.

Time Duration : 2- 4 min (inclusive of introduction)
Costume : As per requirement of the characters
Venue : Auditorium Extension
Rules :
i.
Props and aids may be used according to the need of the character/presentation
reflecting culture/history/songs/dances etc of that island.
ii.
CDs and DVDs cannot be used as an aid/prop. Background recorded music is allowed
for enhancement of tableau.iii. Costume and properties shall be in accordance to characterization and is responsibility
of participant school.
iv. Host school will only provide chairs if needed which is to be informed in advance
(minimum three days prior to competition).
v. Judgement will be based on the selection of content, relevance, delivery theme, props,
costume and overall presentation.
vi. List of the islands for presentation includes Barbados, Haiti, Jamaica. St. Louisa, Fiji,
Maldives, Mauritius, Cuba, Iceland, Singapore, Madagascar, Ireland and Taiwan.

EVENT III : ‘VOC TROVE – a Wordalathon’CLASSES : IV-VI

Time Duration : 25-30 minutes for each round
(Prelim, Semifinal & Final)
Venue : Prelim: Art Block Library
Final: CBSE–i, Room - Class III
Rules :
1.
Round I (Prelim) and Round II (Semi Final) are written rounds and Final Round is a
buzzer round.
2.
In each round a questionnaire consisting of questions based on words –(scramble,
crossword, correct, complete words, synonyms, antonyms, single word answers,
finding odd one out, number, gender and parts of speech etc.) will be given to
participants to solve.
3. Points scored by each member will be added to make the final score of that school
team.4. Top eight teams according to the final score in Round I(Prelim) will be selected for
Round II(Semi Final)
5. Best five teams out of eight teams (according to the score) in Round II (Semi final)
will participate in Final Buzzer round.
6.
There will be audio/visual and oral rounds. Questions will be based on spelling,
language, word power, sound clippings, authors and their works and so. There will
be total five different rounds of 5 to 10 questions each.
7. The team that presses the buzzer first will get the chance to answer. If answer is
incorrect, the question passes on to next team.8. Incorrect answer will fetch negative marks. Half of the allotted marks for that
question will be deducted for giving incorrect answer.
9.
Team that scores maximum points will be declared Winner.

Rebutal Questions will be asked. Maximum three questions will be asked. Nocross questioning will be done on the reply given by the participant.
3.
Support your show with relevant presentation/ chart/ any other aid.
4. Only static power point presentation without sound is permitted.
5.
Judgement will be based on type of questions, relevance, supporting material
and its requirement, Innovation, voice modulation, message delivery,
confidence and overall presentation.

Final oral round - 60 min.

Rules :
1. There will be two rounds. Prelim will be written and final will be an Oral
(Quiz).
2.
Prelim/Screening round will be a written round based on questions on
Mathematics upto class X.
a.
There will be 15 Questions to be attempted in 30 minutes.
b.
Each member of the team will be given a separate questionnaire andindividual score of all the four students in a team will be added to make
the final score of that team.
c.
Four highest scorer school teams will be eligible for Final oral quiz round.
3.
Final oral quiz will consist of 4 rounds –Visual, Rapid Fire, Master Mind and
Buzzer (15 sec per questions for buzzer round).
4.
In Buzzer Round, the team that presses the buzzer first will get chance to
attempt the answer. If answer is incorrect, the question will pass to next team.
Also incorrect answer will fetch negative marks. For each wrong answer50% of the marks allocated for that question will be deducted.
