This example shows setup with a Compactlogix communicating through the GW1000-ABEIP-DH485 to a SLC 5/05 channel 0. The following screen shows the CompactLogix tags present and the SLC5/05 DH-485 configuration.

The next screen shows the configuration of the Message instruction in the Compactlogix for the tag L55_to_PLC5 tag. In our example, the GW1000 is at IP address 192.168.1.222.

Following are screens showing RSLINX through DH485 link through the GW1000-DH485-ABEIP. Please note you must force the network type to DH485. Also, the station mapping table shows node addresses in DECIMAL, not OCTAL. The word “Driver” should be beside the node address of the GW1000. Other nodes should have the IP address of the GW1000.
