Heard it all before?
Best Practices = Proven to be Successful
I heart best practices.
You should heart best practices, too.
2
1. don't overthink it
Social content is starting and having a conversation. We have conversations every day, all day.
Your social content doesn't need to be all that much different.
3
2. make a list
Guess what? Social content starts with a list, just like how we deal with most other things in our day - shopping, work, honey to-do's.
Write it all down first, and filter second.
4
3. filter it
TMI! You don't need to talk about everything and then some.
But don't be at the other end of the spectrum and only talk about yourself.
There's always shared interests.
5
4. join or create
You've got something to say but is anyone even around?
There's always two options -go to where the action is, or invite people over.
6
5. be personable
You are not your business, your business is you.
It's a reflection of your values and everything that you are passionate about.
Share that inner passion outwards.
7
6. it's not a race
Be social on your own terms.
Schedule it into your day or week like you would any other regular standing appointment.
And stay committed to it.
8
7. know what's up
You should always be aware of the general setting before speaking.
It only takes a few seconds to confirm if the moment is right for your message.
9
8. ask for help
Know thyself and your limitations.
There's nothing wrong with getting a little help; it's always within reach.
You just need to ask. (or Google)
10
9. be fearless
Don't let social scare you.
If it was hard there wouldn't be so many of us doing it and able to do so at any age.
Confidence and comfort come from being prepared.
11
10. be you
If your business was a [nice / helpful / witty / carefree / supportive / informed] person, what would they say and do.
It's really just that simple.

Thank you!
