DIY Felt Christmas Tree Ornaments This kit was made from the felted wool of old sweaters. Decorate both sides of the ornaments and hang them on the Christmas tree, use as gift tags, or give away to loved ones. Use clear-drying glue to glue ribbons, sequins, doilies, etc. to the ornaments or decorate them with glitter glue. Do not decorate the very top rectangular part. Let the ornaments dry completely, at least overnight. Write the child’s name and the year on the tag if desired and slip the hanging ribbon into the hole. Glue one end of the hanging ribbon to the top of the ornament (left), then cover with the grey/silver “cap”. Finger press and let dry for a moment, then flip over the ornament to glue the other end of the hanging ribbon to the other side (middle). Glue on the second “cap” piece and press well to keep in place (right). You might want to keep the ornament under a heavy book to help the pieces dry flat.
