The Diary of St. Faustina “Divine Mercy
in My Soul”
On page after page, THE DIARY OF ST. FAUSTINA
proclaims the message of God's merciful love. It was not a new teaching, of course: just a new
expression with a clear focus on the very center of the Catholic
Faith: the loving kindness and compassion of God.
In private revelations recorded in her diary,
Jesus spoke to her words such as these
(entries 1074, 699, and 1578 shown left):
St. Faustina’s Diary is
actually the compilation of several notebooks in
which she recorded what was revealed to her by Jesus,
as well as her own thoughts and her daily activities. It
allows the reader a rare chance to experience, through her firsthand account, the Message
of Divine Mercy as Jesus Himself wants
us to know it.

Saint Faustina's devotional life was driven by her sincere desire to bring her COMPLETE TRUST in the Lord's mercy into every aspect of life. For Faustina, Jesus was "MERCY INCARNATE," and He gave her a mission: to proclaim the message of the Divine Mercy throughout the world, especially through the spread of the Image of Mercy, and the celebration of the Feast of Mercy. Moreover, this message & devotion was to be a fresh call for her, and for all people, to be merciful to one another. Jesus said to her (entry 1688 shown below):
My daughter, look into My Merciful HeartMy daughter, look into My Merciful HeartMy daughter, look into My Merciful Heart and reflect its compassion in your own heart and deeds, and reflect its compassion in your own heart and deeds, and reflect its compassion in your own heart and deeds, so that you who proclaim My mercy to the worldso that you who proclaim My mercy to the worldso that you who proclaim My mercy to the world may yourself be aflame with it.may yourself be aflame with it.may yourself be aflame with it.
In addition to declaring the endless depths of His Mercy, Jesus reminds us, in specific terms, of our own responsibilities in being merciful to others.
Saint Faustina was also shown a vision of Heaven, Purgatory and Hell - and has clearly described each for us, lest there be any doubt about the reality of them.
The Diary reminds us that we determine where our soul will spend eternity by our actions (deeds, words, prayer)- not, as many people tell themselves, by our intentions.
THE DIARY OF ST. FAUSTINA is available in paperback from at booksellers like Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com ($7.95). You can also receive a FREE PDF copy via email. Send your request to our Respect Life Society:

“Go, pick up the pieces lest they be lost.”
JOHN 6:12
With these words, John Cardinal O’Connor directed the Sisters of Life to a ministry of reverence for those women and men who suffer following the tragedy of abortion. Since 1996, they have heeded that call with the help of Theresa Bonopartis, their co-worker in...
ENTERING CANAAN… A SACRAMENTAL JOURNEY TO AN INHERITANCE OF MERCY
FOR THOSE SUFFERING ABORTION
Many don’t realize that post-traumatic stress is the untold story of abortion. There are literally millions of women and men who, too often silently and alone, suffer some of the most devastating psychological & spiritual consequences of our society’s disregard for the sanctity of human life and sacredness of human sexuality.
All retreats are led by Theresa Bonopartis and other women who have experienced both the suffering of abortion and the joy of healing in Christ; they are directed by faithful priests with a true heart for those who suffer and are hosted by the Sisters of Life. They include: Witnesses of Mercy, Scripture Sharing, Personal Prayer & Quiet Time, (the opportunity for) Sacramental Confession and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

“My daughter, look into the abyss of My mercy and give praise and glory to this mercy of Mine.
Do it in this way: Gather all sinners from the en re world and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. I want to give Myself to souls; I yearn for souls, My daughter.
On the day of My feast, the Feast of Mercy, you will go through the whole world and bring fain ng souls to the spring of My mercy. I shall heal and strengthen them.” “The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous.
The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls.
These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross.
These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him.”
Jesus gave St. Faustina the short prayer:
"O B W ,
H J M
, I Y ."
This prayer can be used as a “Three O’Clock Prayer”… as Jesus desires that we
remember His Passion each day at the hour of
Great Mercy - 3 O'Clock.
Jesus asks us to immerse ourselves in His Passion by
praying the Stations of the Cross each day at 3:00pm.
If that is not possible, and you cannot stop into a Church at that
time for a brief visit, Jesus asks us to remember His Passion with a brief
prayer addressing His Divine Mercy (such as the one above).
Jesus also taught St. Faustina to use this prayer for a Novena for the Holy Father’s intentions
by praying it 33 times.
“Make a novena for the Holy Father's inten on.
It should consist of thirty-three acts; that is, repe on
that many mes of the short prayer- which I have taught you.”
“Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace.”
“My gaze from this image is like my gaze from the Cross.”
“I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish.
I also promise victory over enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death.
