L oving and faithful God, through the years the peo-ple of our archdiocese have appreciated the pray-ers and love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times

of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence, murder and racism.

We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives respect to the life and dignity of all people.

Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemak-ers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost loved ones through violence.

Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice for life and human dignity in our community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.

Fresh Fire 2016, a day-long gathering for those desiring refreshment and empowerment in the Holy Spirt will take place Sautrday, July 30, 2016, from 10:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m. at St. Benilde Cafeteria, 1901 Division St. in Metairie. The event is sponsored by the Caholic Cha-ristmatic Renew of New Orleans (CCRNO) and was for-merly called the Regional Ministries Gathering. Speakers include Johnny Bertucci, Casey Sprehe, and Alex Lorio—all leaders in the Catholic Charismatic Re-newal locally, regionally, and nationally. The theme for the day is “All His Ways Are Mercy and Truth” and will focus on the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis. Music is provided by Jamie Diliberto. Registration for Elementary Catechesis (Grades K-5th) is still ongoing. The schedule for the school year will be posted on the Parish website. The first class will begin on Tuesday, August 23 at SEAS, from 6:30-7:45 PM.

Fuego Fresco 2016, una reunión de un día de duración para aquellos deseando refresco y la potenciación del Santo Espíritu se llevará a cabo Sabado 30 de Julio de 2016, de 10 a.m. de 3: 00 p.m. en St. Benilde Cafetería, 1901 Divi-sion St. en Metairie. El evento es patrocinado por Renova-cion Carismatica Catolica de Nuevo Orleans (CCRNO) y se llamaba anteriormente regional Ministerios Encuentro.
