Family Prayer

L oving and faithful God, through the years the peo-ple of our archdiocese have appreciated the pray-ers and love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times

of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence, murder and racism.

We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives respect to the life and dignity of all people.

Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemak-ers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost loved ones through violence.

Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice for life and human dignity in our community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.

Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that we may be a holy family.

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning, it's *me to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. 2. Sending Forth God, We Praise You!

1. God, we praise you, God, we bless you! God, we name you sovereign Lord! Mighty King whom angels worship, Father, by your Church adored: all crea*on shows your glory, heaven and earth draw near your throne, singing, 'Holy, holy, holy, Lord of hosts, and God alone!' 2. True apostles, faithful prophets, saints who set their world ablaze, martyrs, once unknown, unheeded, join one growing song of praise, while your Church on earth confesses one majes*c Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God, our hope eternally. 3. Jesus Christ, the King of glory, everlas*ng Son of God, humble was your virgin mother, hard the lonely path you trod. By your cross is sin defeated, hell confronted face to face, heaven opened to believers, sinners jus*fied by grace. 4. Christ, at God's right hand victorious, you will judge the world you made; Lord, in mercy help your servants for whose freedom you have paid. Raise us up from dust to glory, guard us from all sin today; King enthroned above all praises, save your people, God, we pray! By: C. Idle©1982. Hope Publishing Co. All rights reserved. Communion There's a Wideness in God's Mercy

1. There's a wideness in God's mercy

Like the wideness of the sea;

There's a kindness in God’s jus*ce,

Which is more than liberty.

There is plen*ful redemp*on

In the blood that has been shed;

There is joy for all the members

In the sorrows of the Head.

2. There is welcome for the sinner,

And a promised grace made good;

There is mercy with the Savior;

There is healing in Christ’s blood.

There is grace enough for thousands

Of new worlds as great as this;

There is room for fresh crea*ons

In that upper home of bliss.

Refrain

So be merciful,

just as our God is merciful.

Be merciful,

just as our God is merciful to us.

Let there be a wideness in our mercy.

Let there be a kindness in our hearts.

Oh, may our lives be merciful.

3. For the love of God is broader

Than the measures of the mind;

And the heart of the Eternal

Is most wonderfully kind.

If our love were but more simple,

We would know the living word;

And our lives would be thanksgiving

In the kindness of our Lord.

4. There's a wideness in God's mercy

Like the wideness of the sea;

There's a kindness in God’s jus*ce,

Which is more than liberty.

There is plen*ful redemp*on

In the blood that has been shed;

There is joy for all the members

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. your requests known to God. your requests known to God. your requests known to God. Philippians 4:6 Jesus teaches us that in prayer we should come to God with no fear because He is our Father. We acknowledge our unworthiness and present ourselves with humility and trust. We pray that heaven and earth will soon be joined in glorious submission to His will. In the meantime, we ask for our needs and beg forgiveness for our failings in the same measure that we forgive those who have hurt us. We then place everything in His hands knowing that He will bless us with everything we need to get to heaven one day.

“Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:7 For information on the enthronement of the Sacred Heart in your home, please contact Anne-Marie d'Abadie at 443-2204 or email [email protected] (English), or Lynda Peña at 338-4306 (Spanish).

In today’s first reading (GN 18:20-32), God answer s Abraham and te l ls him that He wil l spare the c ity of Sodom i f there are 50 innocent people there. He then agrees to 45 innocent. Then 40, 30, and 20 innocent. Eventually God te l ls Abraham that He wil l not destroy the c i ty i f there are 10 innocent people. So it is with prayer. God will accept our prayer lovingly regardless if we give him fifty minutes, forty, thirty, twenty, or ten. At Life Teen and Edge, our goal is simple- prayer, in whatever amount. Come join us!

“Dios es rico en misericordia . . .” Efesios 2:4

A continuación, 40, 30, y 20 inocentes.

Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself en-tirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
