Sanya Sukduang Named Chair Of The Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Sanya Sukduang, a partner at Finnegan, has beenappointed to Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Com-mittee at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett &Dunner. Sanya has been active in promoting diversityat Finnegan for many years and has held variousleadership positions with APABA-DC. Ava Lias-Booker Among ‘Top 250 Women in Litigation’

Ava Lias-Booker, of McGuireWoods, has been named toBenchmark Litigation’s inaugural Top 250 Women in Liti-gation list. Ava is the office managing partner of the firm'sBaltimore office, and she heads the Baltimore litigationpractice group. UMD Law Professor Publishes Book On Thurgood Marshall

This Fall, Prometheus Books is releasing University of

Maryland Law Professor Larry S. Gibson’s book, Young

Thurgood: The Making of a Supreme Court Justice.

Many historians regard Thurgood Marshall as the most

important American lawyer of the 20th Century. The

book is the first in-depth examination of Marshall's forma-

work habits were shaped by people and events before he

Reception to Honor Kenyan Chief Justice, Willy Mutunga, Sept. 7, DC

LLP in honoring Justice Mutunga of Kenya for his career-long commitment to the rule

of law and democracy. Chief Justice Mutunga, the Chief Justice of the Supreme

Court of Kenya, will be responsible for certifying the results of the upcoming Kenyan

The event will be held at Arena Stage with a showing of “The Mountaintop.” A pre-

Foundation will use the funds from this event for programs and support of legal aid pro-

viders through grants, technical assistance and educational loan repayment assistance
