GROWTH Santa Rosa County is:

One of the fastest growing counties in Florida

Projected 2045 population – upwards of 250,000

District 4 is:

Accounted for 25% of growth in Santa Rosa County between 2010 and 2016

Growing at a higher rate than Santa Rosa County and the State of Florida

Projected to grow by upwards of 20,000 people (55% increase) by 2045



Approximately 25% of all housing units within the County

Over 50% of the new housing units developed between 2010 and 2016 within the County

The highest growth in residential was multifamily at 39% (3x growth rate of single‐family units) between 2010 and 2016

Why Master Plan?

TOURISM Santa Rosa County:

Increased its Bed Tax revenue by nearly 30% between Fiscal Years 2015 and 2017

Is expected to generate over $3 million in Bed Tax revenue in FY 2018

Increased tourism generates valuable revenue for the County but also puts stress on community resources
