Distribution Channels for my music video

MTV will be a suitable music channel to distribute our music video because the music MTV plays is contemporary and up to date. Our music genre for our music video is Pop, MTV will promote our music video as it caters for audiences that listen to the Pop genre. The audience that watch MTV are quite young, our target audience for our video is the younger generation (13+) therefore if our video was distributed to MTV it would be ideal as audience would watch it.

Distributing our music video to 4music will beneficial because 4music cater for an audience that enjoy Pop music . Audiences from the ages of 13+ are likely to watch 4music as it plays new and contemporary music . As our target audience is 13+ and is a Pop video distributing it to 4music will be ideal. 4music is also available on Freeview,VirginMedia and Sky if our video was distributed on these service stations it will be likely to attract a mainstream audience.

The Box is widely known for playing up-to-date new music from a range of popular music genres. The Box also plays music that has just been released. Distributing our music video on The Box would allow our video to be one of the new video’s played. As mainstream audiences like to watch new music video’s our video will be likely to be watched if it is played on The Box.
