The Nowinski Lecture Series honors the late Jerzy L. Nowinski, H. Fletcher Brown Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and subsequently the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Delaware from 1961 to 1973, for his contributions to the field of Applied Mechanics. Each year, one outstanding individual in Applied Mechanics is invited to present a lecture in the series.
