Introduction The Disposition workshop reflects TAAT’s ‘open source’ approach of transdisciplinary, DIT and experience based co- creation. It investigates the relationship between architectural positions, theatrical positions (or characters) and social positions. Using the existing space as a canvas, the participants explore how emotional states influence physical distance and proportion. Elements of Forum Theatre, Sensory Labyrinth Theatre and the Viewpoints technique are used to shape the dramatic potential of the architectural environment. 2. Disposition In English the word disposition refers to both a person’s inherent qualities of mind and character (or temperament) and the way in which something is placed or arranged, especially in relation to other things. This workshop is about the way a person (with a specific temperament) is arranged (or arranges him or herself) in relation to other persons in a space. 3. Benefits - For festivals: Engaging physical and sensory experience of the relationship between space and performance. - For universities: In depth learning experience for theatre and architecture students, as well as for students of philosophy, music, sociology, psychology, design,… - For institutes: Inspiring networking, matchmaking and brainstorming opportunity. 4. Qualities - bring together different people with different backgrounds - introduce DIT as a highly effective way of learning - give an open and inviting framework for co-creation - are all about sensory and physical EXPERIENCE 5.
