General information● Read this instruction manual carefully.● Keep the instruction manual and the product information

safe for future reference or for the next owner.● Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in

WARNING ‒ Risk of electric shock!● Incorrect installation is dangerous.● Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance

with the specifications on the rating plate.● Always use the supplied power cable for the new appli-

ance.● Connect the appliance to a power supply with alternat-

ing current only via a properly installed socket withearthing.● The protective conductor system of the domestic elec-

trical installation must be properly installed.● Never equip the appliance with an external switching

device, e.g. a timer or remote control.● When the appliance is installed, the mains plug of the

power cord must be freely accessible. If free access isnot possible, an all-pole isolating switch must be in-stalled in the permanent electrical installation accordingto the installation regulations.● When installing the appliance, check that the power

cable is not trapped or damaged.● Cutting through the supply hose or immersing the Aqua-

Stop valve in water is dangerous.● Never immerse the plastic housing in water. The plastic

housing on the supply hose contains an electric valve.● Never cut through the supply hose. The supply hose

contains electric power cables.

● If no information is available fromthe manufacturer, the dishwashershould not be installed above orbelow such appliances.

● To ensure the safe operation of alldomestic appliances, continue fol-lowing the installation instructionsfor the dishwasher.

● Do not install the dishwasher un-der a hob.

● Do not install the dishwasher nearheat sources, e.g. radiators, heatstorage tanks, ovens or other ap-pliances that generate heat.

● Modified or damaged water hosesmay result in material damage anddamage to the appliance.● Never kink, crush, modify or cut

through water hoses.● Only use the water hoses supplied

with the appliance or genuinespare hoses.

● Never re-use water hoses thathave been used before.

● If the water pressure is too high ortoo low, the appliance may not beable to operate properly.● Make sure that the water pressure

in the water supply system is min.50 kPa (0.5 bar) and max. 1000 kPa(10 bar).

● If the water pressure exceeds themaximum value specified, a pres-sure-reducing valve must be in-stalled between the drinking waterconnection and the hose set of theappliance.

Safe useFollow the instructions when using theappliance.

ATTENTION!● Escaping water vapour can damage

fitted units.● When the programme ends, leave

the appliance to cool down for awhile before opening the door.

● Special salt for dishwashers can dam-age the tub due to corrosion.● To make sure that any special salt

that escapes is washed out of thetub, add the special salt to the dis-penser for special salt immediatelybefore the programme starts.

● Detergent may damage the watersoftening system.● Only fill the dispenser of the water

softening system with special dish-washer salt.

● Unsuitable cleaning agents maydamage the appliance.● Do not use a steam cleaner.

● So as not to scratch the finish onthe appliance, do not use spongeswith a rough surface or abrasivecleaning agents.

● To prevent corrosion, do not usesponge cloths on dishwasherswith a stainless steel front or rinsesuch cloths thoroughly severaltimes before using them for thefirst time.

Saving energyIf you follow these instructions, your ap-pliance will use less electricity and lesswater.

Use the Eco 50 ° programme.The Eco 50 ° programme is energy-efficient and environmentallyfriendly.

If you do not have much tableware towash, use the additional Half Loadfunction.

The programme will adjust to alower load and consumption will bereduced.

Change the sensor setting to the de-fault.

Drying automatically helps to save en-ergy.

DryingThe appliance is equipped with a con-tainer which has a mineral inside. Thismineral can store moisture and heat en-ergy and then release them again. Suchdrying lets you save energy.During dishwashing heat energy is usedto heat up the washing water and drythe mineral.During the drying phase moisture fromthe interior of the dishwasher is storedin the mineral and heat energy is re-leased. The heat energy is blown outinto the interior of the dishwasher withdry air. This speeds up and improvesdrying.This drying method saves a great dealof energy.

AquaSensorThe AquaSensor is an optical measuringdevice (light barrier) which measuresthe turbidity of the washing water. Youcan save water with the AquaSensor.Use of the AquaSensor depends on theprogramme. If the soiling level is low,the washing water is used in the nextwash cycle, allowing water consumptionto be reduced by 3-6 litres. If the soilinglevel is higher, the washing water isdrained off and replaced with fresh wa-ter. In the automatic programmes thetemperature and running time are addi-tionally adjusted to the level of soiling.

SensorsThe sensors adjust the programme se-quence and strength in the automaticprogrammes depending on the leveland type of soiling.The sensor has different sensitivity set-tings that can be changed in the basicsettings.

Suitable detergentsOnly use detergents that are suitablefor dishwashers. Both separate andcombined detergents are suitable.For optimum washing and drying res-ults, use separate detergent, adding"Special salt" → Page 29 and "Rinse aid"→ Page 31 separately.Modern, powerful detergents mainlyuse a low-alkaline formulation with en-zymes. Enzymes break down starch andremove protein. Oxygen-based bleach-ing agents are generally used to re-move coloured marks, e.g. tea orketchup.Note: Follow the manufacturer's in-structions for each detergent.

DETERGENT DESCRIPTIONTabs Tabs are suitable for

Combined detergentBesides conventional separate deter-gents, a number of products are avail-able with additional functions. Theseproducts contain not only detergent but

also rinse aid and salt replacement sub-stances (3in1) and, depending on thecombination (4in1, 5in1, ...), additionalcomponents such as glass protection orstainless steel cleaner.According to manufacturers, combineddetergents generally only function upto a water hardness of 26 °E. With a wa-ter hardness above 26 °E you will needto add special salt and rinse aid. For thebest washing and drying results we re-commend using special salt and rinseaid from a water hardness of 17 °E. Ifyou are using combined detergent, thewashing programme is adjusted auto-matically to ensure the best possiblewashing and drying result.

● To prevent sticking, only touch deter-gents in a water-soluble pouch withdry hands and only ever place themin a dry detergent dispenser.

● Even if the rinse aid and special saltrefill indicators light up, washing pro-grammes will run properly with com-bined detergents.

● The function of rinse aid is limitedwith combined detergents. You willgenerally get better results usingrinse aid.

Removing tableware
