ABOUT ADI DISINFECT
AGRIDISINFECT (PTY) LTD was founded in September 2017 with the vision to build a solution driven company focusing on defined niche markets with their own unique challenges. The company name was chosen originally as the Agricultural market was the first sector identified where we believe we can add significant value for our customers. The challenges faced by this sector are numerous and significant. We at Agridisinfect (Pty) Ltd know we cannot address all of them and therefore we only focus on specific issues and develop targeted, cost-effective solutions for these issues to ensure we satisfy our customers. Working with many industry experts and identifying specific niche applications, Agridisinfect sought the right expertise and partners to ensure we deliver the right solutions in the right way to maximise the benefit for all stakeholders.
AGRIDISINFECT has now been appointed under license as the exclusive distributor of the Agri Geoponics product range of purposely developed Surface Disinfectants and Post-Harvest Crop Treatments for the whole African geography. The target in-dustry sector is the Agricultural market, but we see many other sectors where these solutions can be applied. We believe in providing quality, cost-effective solutions to the industries we service.
We believe in working with our partners and customers to ensure the solutions provided deliver the value promised. Quality products, quality solutions, quality re-lationships and quality results are the pillars of our business.
Our Values are Service, Integrity, Honesty, Respect and good old hard work.

DISINFECTION LOG
WHAT IS A LOG COUNT?
• Scientists use a logarithmic scale. Log reduction stands for a 10-fold (or one decimal point) reduction in bacteria, meaning the disinfectant reduces the number of live bacteria by 90 percent for every step.
• To help understand the value of each additional “log”, let’s do the math for a small colony of a million MRSA bacteria under the edge of a patient’s table in a hospital:
12 Surface Disinfectant
A 1-log kill reduces the colony to 100,000 MRSA bacteria after a 90% reduction;
A 2-log kill reduces the colony to 10,000 bacteria after a 99% reduction;
A 3-log kill reduces the colony to 1,000 bacteria after a 99.9% reduction;
A 4-log kill reduces the colony to 100 bacteria after a 99.99% reduction;
A 5-log kill reduces the colony to 10 bacteria after a 99.999% reduction;
A 6-log kill reduces the colony to 1 MRSA bacterium after a 99.9999% reduction
ADI has a of Log 6,25 kill rate in 30 sec thus kills 99,999925% of all pathogens
WHAT IS OXIDATION REDUCTION POTENTIAL?
• Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) is a measure of the tendency of a chemical species to acquire electrons and thereby be reduced. Reduction potential is measured in volts (V), or millivolts (mV).
• Refer back to log efficacy (also known as redox potential, oxidation / reduction potential)
• ADI has a ORP of 950mv when mixed in water
• A Log 3 count equates to 485mv and a log 5 is measured at 665mV
• Each species has its own intrinsic reduction potential; the HIGHER the potential, the greater the species’ affinity for electrons and tendency to be reduced. ORP is a common measurement for DISINFECTION EFFICACY
WHAT IS DISINFECTION POTENTIAL?• The efficacy of the disinfectant in terms of the strength of
the solution and the time it takes to reach kill potential in a specific field/requirement
• The risk potential in terms of residue (disinfectant by-products produced when chemical

WATER pH LEVELS
Basically, the pH value is a good indicator of whether water is hard or soft. The pH of pure water is 7. In general, water with a pH lower than 7 is considered acidic, and with a pH greater than 7 is considered basic. The normal range for pH in surface water systems is 6.5 to 8.5, and the pH range for groundwater systems is between 6 to 8.5.
Alkalinity is a measure of the capacity of the water to resist a change in pH that would tend to make the water more acidic. The measurement of alkalinity and pH is needed to determine the corrosiveness of the water.
14 Surface Disinfectant
EFFECTS• “Consuming excessively acidic or alkaline water is harmful”, warns the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Drinking water must have a pH value of 6.5-8.5 to fall within EPA standards, and they further note that even within the acceptable pH range, slightly high- or low-pH water can be unappealing for several reasons.
• High-pH water has a soapy feel, tastes a bit like baking soda, and may leave deposits on fixtures, according to the EPA website. Low-pH water, on the other hand, may have a bitter or metallic taste, and may contribute to fixture corrosion.
• The effect of pH level of water on ADI is non-existent.
Water pH has NO EFFECT on the EFFICACY of ADI

Scientific Opinion on the use of potassium sulphate and sodium sulphate as sources of respectively potassium and sodium added for nutritional
purposes to food supplements1
EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food (ANS)2, 3

ABSTRACT
The Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food provides a scientific opinion on the safety of potassium sulphate and sodium sulphate as sources of potassium and sodium, respectively, and on their bioavailabilities from these sources. The safety of potassium and sodium in terms of the amounts that may be consumed is outside the remit of the Panel. Based on the available data and the fact that potassium sulphate and sodium sulphate are water-soluble, the Panel concluded that potassium and sodium from these sources are bioavailable. The petitioner indicates that potassium sulphate and sodium sulphate will be used in food supplements to provide maximum amounts of 100 mg potassium/day and 200 mg sodium/day for adults. The Panel calculated that these dose levels result in a supply of 0.123 g sulphate ion/day (equivalent to 2.1 mg sulphate ion/kg bw/day for a 60 kg person) from potassium sulphate and of 0.417 g sulphate ion/day (equivalent to 7 mg sulphate ion/kg bw/day) from sodium sulphate. This will result in a combined intake of 0.540 g sulphate ion/day (equivalent to 9.0 mg sulphate/kg bw/day for a 60 kg person). Previously the Panel concluded that a daily intake of sulphate ion up to 6 g/day (100 mg sulphate ion/kg bw/day) does not give rise to concern. The Panel noted that this intake of 100 mg potassium/day amounts to 2 to 4% of the average intake level of potassium from the diet and that the proposed level of sodium to be supplied via food supplements of 200 mg sodium/day would represent between 4-7% of the mean intake level of sodium from the diet. Therefore, the Panel concluded that the proposed use and use levels of potassium sulphate and sodium sulphate as sources of potassium and sodium are not of safety concern.
